Okay but tarnished
Pros:

The hotel is in a decent location, with a main bus route outside and some local amenities. There are some issues with the area but largely that is a problem with large swathes of the city currently. It has an outdoor pool and gym on the 6th which are reasonably well stocked, if the gym equipment was in working order. Some of the interior of the hotel has undergone a facelift which means it is better on the inside than it looks on the outside.

Cons:

Much of the gym equipment was broken and did not work. More worringly, my wife was trapped in a lift coming down from the room. The lift stopped on the 10th floor for a number of minutes, and then dropped the remaining stories to the bottom without warning. She was left incredibly scarred by this. When reporting it to the staff, they didn't seem concerned, though the lift was then offline for the following days.
