Pros:

The location was convenient for visiting downtown San Jose, and checkin was straightforward.

Cons:

The sound insulation was extremely poor. I could clearly hear toilets flushing and noise from other rooms, which was very disturbing. On top of that, the hotel is directly under a flight path, with planes passing overhead every few minutes. The constant aircraft noise made it very difficult to sleep. Unfortunately, I barely slept during my stay because of the combination of indoor noise and airplane traffic.

Good with some flaws
Pros:

Very friendly staff. Room is spacious, bed was comfortable. Good breakfast. Walking distance to downtown.

Cons:

Loud (had to use ear plugs). While mostly clean, I had to kill a spider in the bathroom. Room and hotel are feeling very dated.

Great for San Jose Civic concert!
Pros:

We travel for a San José Civic concert. It could not be a better location. Great service, clean rooms. Literally steps from the entrance. Also, the light rail stop is just across the street. If you're arriving from SFO, it's fully achievable through BART>CalTrain>VTA.
