Location
Noise, smoke and food
Great location.
Poorly maintained , ice machine only on odd number floors , curtains had holes in them ,carpet was soiled ,AC was leaking water on the balcony which is a safety hazard and open to possible liable.
Friendly staff
Towel service for the pool. I had to ask someone where the towels were kept. There is no signage that you had to pick up from the front desk.
Location, clean,personable
We stayed here as a family of 4 in a double queen room and for us this was a case of expectation v reality.
The photos of the hotel look amazing but when you get there it’s actually more like a budget hotel with a pool. For anyone UK based think Premier Inn - not awful but not like the photos which maybe were taken when it was shiny and new not worn in carpets, tired rooms and battered balconies (beds were comfy though)
The hotel is next to a train track and a freeway so rooms are incredible noisy if your the wrong end of the hotel. We were in 624 and Definately that number upwards is worst hit. The balcony was not usable really unless your a fan of the road noise and chair was broken.
We did complain to reception but she said any room she had available she could move us to would be just as bad. No apology just “it’s just the reality of the hotel” - perhaps list that a bit more clearer?
The pool area is clean but limited lounger space and the bar area is nice to lounge in. We didn’t eat on site as a convenient walk to the pier and downtown.
Overall I would say stay here if your just looking for a room and have ear plugs but for $300 a night we were massively disappointed and of our 3 week trip travelling California is the first hotel we’ve stayed in we wouldn’t be returning to.
Very clean room
Fresh linens
Right by the beach
Fantastic location for beach access and near amenities
Feather pillows in the room - always get allergic to these and find them uncomfortable. Kind of weird there are no rentals of beach stuff or bikes. Even the towels are not for the beach? What’s the point of being on the beach?
Love the location, view, and price.
They put us in a room that didn’t have a great been but that’s okay (:
Wait staff in bar/restaurant

near the beach
too much noise, the train running there constantly
