Very clean room
Fresh linens
Right by the beach
Fantastic location for beach access and near amenities
Feather pillows in the room - always get allergic to these and find them uncomfortable. Kind of weird there are no rentals of beach stuff or bikes. Even the towels are not for the beach? What’s the point of being on the beach?
Love the location, view, and price.
They put us in a room that didn’t have a great been but that’s okay (:

too much noise, the train running there constantly
Location was great. Didn’t know there was a breakfast. Arrived the last day of the concert series out by the pool, it was very good and enjoyable. The room was great, very good size.
The AC was noisy. Difficult to sleep through the night. There also was some kind of bumping, clanging noise, possibly because we were in the room next to the elevator.
Our visit started out on the wrong foot starting with the valet which at that time was two young men who almost seemed annoyed at the interruption and didn't do anything to assist with our luggage. Fortunately that was the only negative experience with the valet, every other time we took the car in/out we were very pleased with the service. Our next and only other problem was check in. The badge said trainee which was surprising in itself and no name, but during the check in process a very loud train went by which prompted me to say I hoped we were towards the front (ocean) of the building and not the rear (rr tracks) of the building. She politely informed us that all the rooms got the train noise. We got to our nice and large room only to find we were the very last room at the train tracks. We like to enjoy our balcony which we did but had to put up with the frequent trains. Seems like all rooms have a nice ocean view. Hotel was freeway close and close to all areas of Ventura. Restaurants and lounge were not busy and not terribly inviting so we did have two breakfasts there as well as drinks one night in the lounge. There is an excellent restaurant just across a walkway that we discovered by entering the hotel restaurant but opting to leave for some place that looked quite busy and more inviting. In researching hotels for this visit, this seemed to be the only one on the beach and probably the nicest, so in mind it's a trade off, beach with noise, or one of the other hotels. Maid service was excellent, better than most.
We recently visited this hotel for several nights while in Ventura Beach. We enjoyed a king-sunset view junior suite room. The room was well decorated, clean, spacious and had 2 separate balconies both with great sea views. In addition to a spacious bathroom the room was equipped with a mini fridge and coffee maker and overall in good condition.
The hotel itself is directly on Ventura Beach and you can walk out of the lobby, cross a sidewalk and you are on the beach. The views from the room are ocean front.
Despite reading several comments on excessive noise, we did not find this to be an issue. There is a train track nearby, but hardly an inconvenience.
You are a 10 minute walk from Ventura Pier and a 20 minute walk from downtown where there are plenty of shops and restaurants and pedestrian only streets.
We arrived early in the afternoon, and even though our room was not ready, the desk staff took our number and texted us when we could check in. Overall, the staff was very helpful and welcoming, from the restaurant staff to housekeeping.
There are several restaurants onsite but the main one- Moofish-seemed to be only open for breakfast and lunch. We did eat at the lobby bar with service outside on the patio. The outdoor areas are very pleasant with firepits and lots of comfortable seating. There is a swimming pool on site.
Parking is at a garage next to the hotel and costs $20.00/day.
Overall this is a great hotel and we will definitely visit again.
