Grand Hyatt Washington

Location is great — most places were within walking distance. As a Globalist member, I received a room upgrade and club lounge access, which saved us a lot of money since the lounge offered a variety of breakfast options and snacks throughout the day. Traveling with a baby makes it difficult to go out every time we need food, so having easy access to light bites and meals at the club lounge was incredibly convenient and a huge plus for us.

The location is excellent, with direct metro access right from the hotel.

The club lounge is absolutely worth it when traveling with kids — it made everything so much easier for our family :)

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the hotel itself is very well maintained. We had a wonderful stay.

Normally when I stay at the Grand Hyatt I am made to feel welcome and like the staff wants to help me enjoy my stay. This visit did not have that experience . When my room wasn’t ready no one offered to hold my bags or to help me find something to do while I waited and since the restaurant and bar was closed no alternatives were offered… I also heard other guests asking about alternative options and the front desk staff acted annoyed they were being asked. I get that it’s probably a frequent question but that’s not our fault. The room was nice, don’t love the view of the lobby and other peoples rooms, I wish I had been offered a choice, even if it cost a little more.

Wonderful experience, hotel was outstanding, staff went above and beyond to show the level of care, it was a great pleasure to stay there.

While the room was presented well and overall clean, the concern is the construction going on by the hotel during the week. If you plan to stay and will not be in the room during the day, this isn’t an issue. If you are planning to relax and unwind, the noise from the construction, particularly jackhammering in our case, gave little opportunity to relax in an otherwise peaceful environment. That said, clarify your room location upon check in.

The room is spacious and clean. The bed is comfy. The bathroom is not too tight. Plenty of elevators and no waiting. Front desk staff excellent.

Great location and staff. Due to construction only one restaurant was open. Lunch was fair. The concierge lounge breakfast was nice and well done. Rooms were spacious and clean.

Amazing Hotel, Simply Exceptional. I love this hotel, always a great experience. Staff, amenities, and ambience are first class.

The hotel is beautiful and the very clean. We had a wonderful experience staying there. My wife and I met one of their onsite special police officers. Mrs. Angel Hackley who was so welcoming and very quick to give advice and suggestions on places to eat and visit. She made us feel welcome and added to our wonderful experience. Thank you so much! I’d like the cleanliness and the smell of the hotel.

Fantastic location, great rooms, and the lobby connects directly the metro station for city-wide access. DC is one the great walkable cities of the world and the Grand Hyatt makes that city even better. Great rooms are sanctuaries from the city noise. The area around the hotel has over a dozen great restaurants ranging from Cuban to Indian to Southern food.

I stayed at the Grand Hyatt while in DC for a conference. The hotel lobby is beautiful. The construction of the restaurant inside the hotel isn’t the nicest thing to look at and blocks the lobby. The on‑site Starbucks was convenient, and overall I had a good experience. The location is also very convenient for getting around the city.

Lobby bar and sushi restaurant were closed. One night during my stay, they had a temporary cash "bar" one floor down from the lobby, presumably to try to make some money off conference attendees. They charged $23 for a glass of wine and $28 dollars for a skimpy pour of Laphroig Scotch. There was no ambience, i felt ripped off, and immediately upon finishing my drink, i left.
