My stay at The Brix Hotel was outstanding. The hotel was clean, quiet, and well-maintained, and my room was available early, making check-in seamless. As an elite member, I was pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary suite upgrade.
What truly stood out was the exceptional customer service. Shortly after check-in, I received a courtesy call to ensure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. That level of attentiveness is rare and greatly appreciated.
A special thank you to General Manager Janelle, Front Desk Manager Ken, and the front desk team, including Kerwyne, for their professionalism, warmth, and outstanding hospitality. They consistently made me feel welcomed and valued throughout my stay.
I highly recommend The Brix Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay and a team that genuinely goes above and beyond for its guests.
Localização
Custo-benefício
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience has been so frustrating that I feel compelled to warn other travelers.
I stayed at this hotel from June 21 to June 25 and specifically requested to pay in local currency. At check-out, I was initially charged approximately €1,541, which appeared consistent with the invoice I was given. That charge was later reversed and replaced with a charge of USD 1,934.40, without my authorization, without any prior notice, and without any explanation.
The invoice provided by the hotel showed a total of TTD 12,000 (Trinidad and Tobago Dollars). Yet somehow, I ended up being charged USD 1,934.40, an amount that clearly does not correspond to TTD 12,000. No one informed me of any currency conversion, no one asked for my approval, and no one explained why the amount increased so dramatically.
What is even more shocking is the hotel's response. I reported the issue immediately and provided all the supporting documentation. More than a month later, I still have no resolution, no meaningful explanation, and no accountability. Every interaction has been a cycle of excuses, delays, and complete indifference. The customer service team appears far more interested in avoiding responsibility than helping a paying guest.
At this point, the financial discrepancy is only part of the problem. The real issue is the hotel's complete lack of transparency and professionalism. When a guest questions a charge of this magnitude, the minimum expectation is a prompt investigation and a clear response. Instead, I have been ignored for weeks.
This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had with any hotel. Being charged an amount that differs significantly from the invoice, having that charge processed in a different currency than the one requested, and then being left without answers for over a month is simply unacceptable.
Book at your own risk, and check every charge carefully. If something goes wrong, don't expect this hotel to take responsibility.
The staff was excellent. The food is very delicious.
The ambiance of the place is remarkable. Very close proximity to the business and nightlife districts.
Friendly and helpful staff....A special thanks to Kara for assisting me with my room key
The staff was really nice.
Bathroom the shower was awful water going everywhere, no way of closing it off.
Breakfast was very delicious and had many options. The staff was helpful and positive and knowlegable the checking in and checking was quick and easy.
The bed had bed bugs and the price you see on their page is not the same as in the hotel and if you order food they add taxes to them so the price is not the same so be careful and ask questions.
Amazing food. Absolutely phenomenal experience. The greatest highlight were the staff. Camille, Antonia, Briana and Crystal served my wife and I with class, grace and professionalism. Definitely plan on coming back expecting more of the same.
Great location and friendly staff
The wait to check in was a little long.
Cool spot. Decent gym. Melissa FD was very friendly and helpful
Melissa was very helpful through the entire stay
We stayed for 2 nights in one of their 2 bedroom suites in the new South Tower. The suite is extremely spacious with the following areas:
Entry way
Kitchenette
Dining Area
Living Area
2 Bedroom
2 bathrooms
Balcony
Entry way
Overall a good size with a comfortable space to bring in all of your luggage without feeling cramped. There are a couple of good sized storage closets in the area as well as an enclosed section which contains a washer and dryer. Extremely convenient if you need to do your laundry while there.
Kitchenette
The kitchenette had a full sized fridge, microwave, 2 element electric counter-top cooker, dishwasher (plus detergent capsules for the dishwasher), coffee-maker, kettle and sink. Plates, bowls, cutlery, cups and glasses were also provided.
Dining Area
A decent sized round table with 4 comfortable chairs.
Living area
This included a large tv, big L-shaped sofa (2 of use were able to lie down completely even with a third person sitting), and a large single arm chair along with coffee table and some shelving space. There was also a very big rug so your feet weren't on tiles.
Bedrooms
Each bedroom was close to the size of a regular hotel room in many other hotels. One bedroom had a king size bed while the other bedroom had 2 twin beds. All beds were extremely comfortable and each bedroom had ample storage/closet space in them.
Bathrooms
The bathrooms (1 for each bedroom) were clean and sizeable.
Balcony
While we didn't really use the balcony it is there for those who wish to go out and have a slightly more open view but the views from inside the suite were great as is, and the a/c can get very cold. We didn't see the need to go out into the tropical heat with the comfort level being so high in the suite.
Staff
The staff are all extremely friendly, courteous and professional. Camille and Natasha are always especially good in the restaurant. Room service was also good and you get quite a bit of food for the price, as well.
All in all this was a great stay and is something we would want to do again!
