Be extra caution walking along hotel balcony during winter
Great historic place to stay with wonderful staff and everything was as expected in terms of checkin and service. I get that this is a historical hotel, and been kept as close to historic as possible but there could be updates that could benefit the hotel. The TV didn't work very well, the AC/Heater was very loud, and the sink in the kitchen was kind of gross. Pipes clanked in the middle of the night making me think people were banging on my door, and the overhead light was uncased. I LOVED the location, the history, and the charm, but it definitely needs to be updated.
Lovely place to stay. We are repeat visitors and it is the perfect location and you cannot beat the price!!’n
It’s a cheaper option hotel with small town charm. Dog friendly. We found the store owner downstairs that explained how to check in. We parked in the back, walked across a bridge to get to the room. Bed was hard but overall, this was a good value.
This was an amazing place to stay! The room is so cute, nice little kitchen in the room. The room had lots of space. We loved being able to sit out on the balcony (roof top) and see downtown. The room has so much charm, we loved it and always stay there when in the area/
Not as advertised
Great location, road construction
Very quaint
The Mattress. They are the cheap kind and Uncomfortable!
Unique Private clean This veil but I'm totally all around good experience Displays
Special hideaway for couples or family in a beautiful little town.
Love this place. So clean
So unique and loved the rustic / historic feel to the property. Super sweet manager and so easy to get checked in and situated. Room was adorable, clean and so cold! Loved it. Will definitely use them again.
Very clean and comfortable. We enkoyed our time there
Great location, easy entry, cool general vibe. Cool, funky but somewhat down at the heels. Trash left in the trashcan, coffee in the filter, a smell of hamburger permeated the room, and an older man, clearly drunk, sitting on the roof deck surprised me as I returned to my room in the dark at 9 pm.
The hotel is touted as a historic landmark. And the building is definitely old and the furnishings are old and outdated.
The room was super clean and the guy on staff super friendly and helpful.
We got very little sleep because the blinds do not fit the windows properly and light pours in to light up the room like it’s daylight during sleeping hours.
Good location to The Mercantile.
We enjoyed staying in this unique hotel. It was very quiet. I loved that one could sit on the balcony in the evening. The bed was very comfortable. The coffee pot handle was broken so we had to be VERY careful about pouring coffee. I assume it will be replaced by the time someone stays there. It was a pleasant walk to shopping. For the price I highly recommend it.
This is not an old hotel. This is a failed attempt of a bed and breakfast (minus the breakfast). You have to call to have you key delivered. Room had at least two eye sore signs of no smoking or 100$. Poor condition not some cutesy place. Blinds are in need of replacing. Never again.
I would not recommend this property unless you simply can't afford anything else. The room was very dirty (standing dust and debris, hair on the toilet, stained furniture and sheets.
I did not stay. Looked around the room and simply left.
Classic, clean affordable. Answered calls promptly! Enjoyed the History and sitting outside in evening! Close to all shops. I would return.
