Better options for what it was.
Pros:

Location was good

Cons:

The pool was not heated, staff seemed annoyed when you’d ask for simple things. Never any parking which they also charge 10$ a day which is crazy since you’re already paying a lot per night.

Not so good- room had bed bugs

I stayed at the Holiday Inn near the San Jose Airport located at 2080 N 1st St, and this was by far one of the most alarming hotel experiences I’ve ever had. We booked a Double Queen Suite, expecting a clean and comfortable stay, but instead we encountered a severe bed bug issue that turned the entire visit into a health concern.

Within minutes of settling in, we noticed small insects on the bedding and headboard area. After checking more closely, it became clear that they were bed bugs, which is not only disgusting but also a serious health hazard. Bed bugs can cause allergic reactions, skin irritation, and can easily spread to luggage and clothing, creating long‑term problems even after leaving the hotel.

What made the situation worse was the lack of urgency from the staff. A situation involving bed bugs should be treated as an immediate safety issue, yet the response felt slow and dismissive. For a hotel located near a major airport and carrying a well‑known brand name, this level of negligence is unacceptable.

A Double Queen Suite #216 should never put guests at risk of bites, contamination, or bringing pests back home. Cleanliness and hygiene are the most basic expectations of any hotel, and this property failed on the most fundamental level. Room filled with bugs and charged $848.00 for 3 days, least I would expect is to fix the problem at earliest.

I strongly urge management to address this issue seriously and conduct a full inspection and treatment of the rooms. Until then, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone—especially travelers who expect a safe, sanitary place to rest.
