The pool was a very good size and a lovely calm and quiet setting. The chef was lovely and spent time talking to us and I feel a few years ago the hotel perhaps was lovely.
- I don’t believe this is a place for families. Our room had a large gap in the door and bugs were in the room, a lizard, lots of red ants, mosquitos, I appreciate some have to be expected but it was covered in them.
- Wi-Fi connection was extremely slow.
- doesn’t cater for vegetarians at all so my kids and myself only had the choice of rice or one bowl of soup. The soup was lovely and the chef very friendly but you are very restricted for food due to the remoteness and the prices reflect this. Not alcohol choices other than beer.
- we had a power cut at 2am - with two children, no air conditioning and no access to any staff etc it was a very hot and humid few hours.
It is a huge and lovely garden, almost everything made of wood, the villa is quite spacious, they have their own spice garden and offer cooking classes.
It would be really great to see the place well maintained as it has a lot of potential.
Unfortunately, the property feels neglected, with much of the wooden structures showing signs of poor maintenance and partially falling apart. The natural pool, which could have been a highlight, was stagnant and dirty due to water circulation that wasn't turned on. .
While breakfast was included, it did not meet expectations for the price level. We were served fried rice instead of noodles as promised, and the American breakfast consisted of potatoes, dry toast, butter, a tomato slice, an egg, and two small sausages. Additionally, only instant coffee was provided, even though there was a coffee machine available.
Nice staff and beautiful rooms.
Wifi was unfortunately really unstable - most of the time no connection. No restaurants nearby, besides the one in the hotel. Also, we could have used handsoap in the bathroom.
The lodges were nice decorated. The highlight of the property is the extrem long and beautiful pool. The staff is always helpful and friendly.
The food is very good, we loved the fish amok and chicken curry!
The whole complex is nicely laid out, but aged. It needs a little bit of maintenance.
When booking you have to be aware that the hotel is far away from the city and therefore not approached by most tour guides (GetYourGuide).
We had animals in our lodges at night.
This is an exceptional place. The setting is stunning and the people who work here are very very friendly..
The dinner and breakfast were delicious. I am not sure but I think there were not many people staying when we were there which is a shame as it deserves a lot more attention.
Just needs a tiny bit more maintenance
Absolutely fabulous ! Beautiful surroundings. Staff incredibly polite, kind and helpful. Food was the best I had in Cambodia. We were leaving on a very busy day , a local fare was being set up but the owner took his time to show us around , talk to us about the wildlife, his spice garden and the local crafts and foods. He made sure we sampled all of the fare. He clearly cares deeply about the environment, wildlife and tradition. Will visit here again.
Nice hotel in a beautiful and large garden, nicely decorated. My room and bathroom were quite beautiful but very dark. The lamps did not help much. Breakfast was slightly limited and served only until 10 am. Communication with most staff was very difficult due to their lack of English. Pool area was beautiful.
Nice green location outside of the city, very friendly personnel.
Personnel speaks very little English which makes communication quite hard. There is no excursion desk, they can only get a taxi for you. They only accept cash. Lodges are beautiful but in need of repairs. It seems like the place didn't fully recover from COVID yet.
The property is stunning, the pool is wonderful and the bungalows are spacious. Dinner was good and the staff were nice.
The property felt a bit abandoned like it used to be a luxury resort that changed ownership during covid and it is not the same. We were pretty much the only ones there, the AC was not working properly, the wifi did not really worked and the room smelled moldy. I would have given a better review if it was cheaper but for the price paid it was very disappointing.
The location is very beautiful. The staff is kind and the food is great.
No wifi (the lovely staff from restaurant helped sometimes with short share from private phones), no hot water for the whole stay, the staff is very nice but speaks very poor English. Shower gel always provided for one guest (even if 2 guests were there).Even after complaining to the Manager about the internet and no hot water the problem was not solved.
pool was nice
Not worth the money at all. Our room was so mouldy & smelt so bad it was hard to breathe. White mould all over the bed frame and mould ON bed sheets.
Roof leaked water in rain.
Bed is hard as a rock. No hot water, manager just said “they’ll check” but didn’t do anything.
Staff are extremely unhelpful and awkward. They stand directly behind you as you eat and stare at you constantly. Very uncomfortable. 5 of them approach you as soon as you’ve finished eating and tell you you need to pay the bill and all 5 stand over you silently while you do. It’s extremely weird I’ve never experienced anything like this.
Staff change the exchange rate to suit them multiple times a day (1USD was 4,000 riel they say it was 6,000 riel and refuse to give correct change or give you riel back when you’ve paid with riel. You’ll only get USD change). Got told we could pay at checkout (like normal), went to have a shower in our room and staff banged on the door demanding we pay for the room. We had to answer the door in towels with wet hair and asked if we could pay later when we have clothes on, to which staff just said “no”.
The manager went home at 7.30pm so you can’t drink after that even though staff are around because he locks the fridge.
Food is not tasty and very expensive ($8-$10 USD). Food has to be on their schedule. Not yours. You have to let them know what you want hours in advance and eat when they tell you to. Asked for a coffee and they said no. Has to be at breakfast time, not before. We were the only guests staying as well so it’s not like they were too busy to be accomodating.
Internet only in some rooms (apparently they only have 4 rooms with internet at the property).
“Breakfast included” but no milk for coffees, only 3 options. Rooms really filthy, water marks and mould down the walls. Rain dripping directly on to mattress so I can only imagine the state of them.
