Hampton Inn Glendale Milwaukee, WI

Room should have been much cleaner.

All good.

We were able to check in early. Location is great, close to family and activities. The height of the beds make it difficult for shorter people, and older people to climb into the bed. Doors were sticking and difficult to open. The bathroom is bright and spacious and common areas comfortable and inviting. A friendly staff too.

Our TV would not stay on or off - we notified the front desk and they said they would send maintenance but no one ever came. We had to completely unplug it for it to stay off so we could sleep. Let the front desk know about it again in the morning but nothing was said or done.

We like going to Hampton

We got a dirty room with dirty beds. The sheets were not changed and had hair and pieces of lint on them. The shower curtain had mildew on it. Not soap in the shower. The receptionist gave us sheets and we had to change them at 11pm. Additionally, at 2:15 am , the room next door had a noisy party with music and shouts. What a nightmare.

The room was dirty, it was not vacuumed. The hallway carpet was filthy, garbage and crumbs in all the corners. We had to ask for a vacuum to clean our own room because we were told cleaning staff had gone home already. It was 4pm when we checked in.

Great location right off the interstate. Rooms were quiet, clean, and comfortable. The hotel was recently built and was very nice. All of the staff were friendly and kind.
The only comment I would have is regarding the use of a "barn door" style door for the bathroom in the rooms. It did not lock and it is easy to pinch fingers. I don't know if they have these in all the rooms, but I would not think these are kid friendly. Other than that I would definitely recommend.

I like this hotel a lot although it’s definitely ready for a refresh of the rooms and hallways.

Our stay was fine but on the morning of checkout, which was at noon, the maid entered are room at 9 am without knocking and almost caught me with no clothes on.

Very disappointed with that event.

Shower moldy and room smelled stale. Not worth the money! Lost my confidence that Hampton inn is nice. Won't stay at one again.

My stay was pleasant

I was not expecting the room to be so nice lol. I loved every part of it. Especially the bathroom. Everything was so clean and functional. Other hotels that I’ve stayed at that had walkin showers like this, I’ve had leak while I’m showering but this was pleasant!

When we checked in I stood at the front desk for 10 minutes waiting for staff. Finally walked around the counter and was able to get the person on duties attention. When we booked the stay we relied on the site being pet friendly. There was a sign posted in the entrance sayin no pets. I questioned the person on duty as we had brought our 6 pound Yorkie. She proceeded to search for their pet policy as if she was unsure. She was able to locate a form for us to complete and we were told that there would be a $75 pet fee. We had no choice but to pay it. Nowhere on their website does it indicate they charge a fee. To top it off our key wouldn’t open the side door where we had to take our dog to do his business requiring us to walk around to the front of the building to regain access in the bone chilling cold. When we returned from dinner we waited at the front counter to see if we could find out why are key wouldn’t open the side door. Once again we stood there until poking our head into the office. We were told that they were having problems and never offered to give us a different key to see if that would work. Both times we poked our heads in the office the staff member was busy on her cell phone. To top everything off, the parking lot was an absolute mess from the snow that had arrived two days before our stay.
