Super location, I'll stay there again.
Pros:

I stay in a lot of hotels, especially in Europe; this was classically American. Clean and tidy, but missing some character. Great location though. Right in heart of downtown San Clemente.

Cons:

It's next to the freeway, but the double windows kept most of the sound under control.

Pros:

Beautiful architecture and central to the Main Street (Del Mar)

Cons:

No kettle in room or tea supplies (microwave cannot boil water in plastic cups) China cups would have worked
Room was quite noisy next to Freeway and guests in floor above walking about causing noise into the evening and early morning

Pros:

I liked the location which was close to restaurants and shops which were all walking distance.

Cons:

I didn't like how close to the main highway and street intersection. It was very loud but the staff were very gracious and moved us to a quieter room.

This facility has one and one only saving grace. Tony, the front desk associate. All the staff, including management, she is the only one with enough experience and intelligence to understand the importance of customer service.

Cons:

The overwhelming “can’t do “attitude of the management, and staff left all of us feeling as if we were not the customers at all, and our concerns were not their problem. The empowerment of trainees to handle things that they were not capable of handling made simple requests impossible. They seem to be very happy with one another, and the guests were not impressed.

The Volare is a safe and clean place to stay to explore San Clemente.
Pros:

The visibility of the hotel is awesome. I seldom needed a map, because I could see the hotel from any point in the near vicinity. There were countless shops and restaurants within walking distance. The parking was convenient.

Cons:

The televisions are not smart televisions.

I didn’t like the fact that check in is at 4pm more than half the day is gone by then. So you pretty much lose a day and checking in and then not to mention checkouts at 11am so go figure..

Old and noisy
Pros:

The staff was nice

Cons:

It to close to the freeway very loud the rooms are old there was mold on my shower floor. Everything was old from the 70s. The walls are paper thin can hear everything. I will not stay there again!

Convenient place to stay in San Clemente
Pros:

The location was great and even though it was right next to the I 5 freeway, it was very quiet in our room. Parking space in covered area was included . Linens and towels were very nice. Pretty nice balcony, even though the chairs could use some new pads.

Check in at 4 PM
Kurig Coffee was on the weak side
