Nothing, everything was perfect.
Location
Had a beautiful view of the roof.
Used the Hotel electric bikes to explorer Portland
It’s was perfect for our needs, nothing to dislike
Great location for staying anywhere in town.
The location and the physical facilities were good. A comfortable walk to Old Port, across the street from the Art Museum, and easy access to some good eateries. There is also free, on-demand shuttle service to almost anywhere in Portland, yours for the asking, which is a very nice service!
1. Definitely overpriced for the level of accommodation.
2. Given the inflated price of the room, there should not be a nightly charge for parking - there are more parking spaces than they know what to do with in two onsite garages, and it's greedy to tack on an extra charge when parking is so freely available. This is not New York City!
3. The coffee. We have to talk about this. In 2026, there is no excuse for serving coffee this bad - both in the in-room Kuerigs and in the lobby during breakfast service. I'd pay more for the room if I didn't have to leave the property to go in search of drinkable coffee every morning.
Great location! Clean and comfortable.
No complaints
Everything - especially the breakfast. The rooms are large, comfortable and clean. If your budget stretches to a bay view room, you will not be disappointed. The views are stunning. We especially enjoyed our breakfast each morning. There was plenty of choice for both hot and cold items and the chef will cook your eggs to order.
If I have to pick something … it would be that the hotel’s only laundry machine was out of order. As our stay here was part of a 6 week road trip, this feature mattered to us but I guess it wouldn’t be top of most people’s list of hotel facilities.
Very friendly staff and amazing service. Super accommodating.
First time visiting Portland and only stayed for one night. Staff let us check in early which was fab. Spacious comfort beds and rooms and great indoor pool area. Great inside restaurant also. Would stay again!
Nothing
The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The check in process was easy. This is an upscale property and better than I expected. Would stay here again.
Not much. Very expensive and not close to the port area.
This hotel gave us a terrible room, next to the conference rooms and a squealing service elevator. When we asked to be changed h to he said the system would not let them do it.
We had a great stay! We paid a little extra for a room with a water view and it was worth it. We enjoyed watching the boats going up and down the harbor during the day and at night. The hotel was within walking distance of Old Port. We took advantage of the airport shuttle coming and going with was great! The lobby was inviting and had cold water dispensers for when we returned from walking around town. Our room was spacious and the beds comfortable.
The Holiday Inn is central to the downtown Portland area. Rooms are a nice size. Staff is friendly. Great view of the city. A short walk to the harbor and all the best restaurants.
Very nice.
The parking was terrible. You could not get in or out of vehicle once you pulled into the space. Needs to be renovated in order to fit large cars and trucks into the spaces. The hotel is aware of this.
