Was a little disappointed. We booked so we could hear the ocean. Pics online made it look like there was a slider to patio to hear waves . You couldn’t hear a thing you had a joint patio where couldn’t even have a private night on patio. Also pics are very deserving. Had great service and great food
The staff was awesome! We loved the pool and the private beach. Would stay here again or recommend it to a friend.
We had a room looking over the pool and surprising it was very quiet . The food at the restaurant and tiki bar was very good. They have chairs and unbrellas they put out every day with no charge and if there isnt enough they put out more. The gift shop was very bare. Its a beautiful hotel right on the beach everything and more you could possibly want for a winderful vacation.
Properties will be torn down for a new hotel coming soon. despite all of that the rooms were clean, with old furniture in good shape. Price per room was inexpensive, and the restaurant was great, all the food served was on point.
Will be back for the Grand opening!
Our first room was musty/moldy smelling we went to front desk and told them. They gave us 3 other rooms to go look at of those 3 only one of them did not have the musty/moldy smell so we took it and dropped our stuff off went to pool. The pool and beach access were great and very clean. When we returned from pool/beach we walked in and there was a dead cockroach on the floor, it didn't look like the bathroom had been clean as there was soap spots all over and hair on the toilet. The water when turned on in the sink was foul smelling like egg water. We ended up leaving as it felt dirty and was not a place to sleep and feel comfortable.
The women in my family have stayed at The Sandcastle every year for the past 42 years and have loved it, until this past year. I've never been more disappointed in the condition and services of any place I've stayed.
The room doors did not have the proper seals (I could see the sunlight through cracks where the doors were supposed to meet the door frames. There was rust on the inside of the doors and what appeared to be mold around the AC vents.
I went to fill the ice bucket and the two machines I was directed to use were both empty. I went to the front desk & was told there was an ice machine in a 4-story building that was empty too. I finally went to the dining area where the staff was customer-service oriented, apologetic, & filled the ice bucket.
It's very disappointing to see a place so loved through the years by my family & me, in such bad shape, with apathetic front desk staff, especially when paying $200.00+ per night.
Great location & price.
Hotel needs a lot of upgrades. Everything in the room was old. Not very clean.
Greeted when you walk in the doors. Front desk staff explained everything. gift shop, shuttle services, all amenities and sea life. Our room perfect location on the beach. Most amazing view. Pleasant and friendly staff. Knee high chess board, pools, complimentary water, restaurant at the hotel. Good food and hours. The rooms could use upgrades. The housekeepers keep the rooms immaculate; with a sparkly shine on all the appliances. The bathrooms are older and not aesthetically pleasing to the eye, again they are clean and you won’t be eating or sleeping in there. (I hope.) Breakfast delish, and waitressing staff made sure we were taken care of. Yet again, the most amazingly pleasant staff. After breakfast at the restaurant, we headed for a morning on the beach. We were greeted by the attendant at the water hut and given bottle waters, towels and directed to Gustavo to set up our chairs and umbrellas for us at the private beach area. We decided to venture to the St. Armand’s circle. Shuttle service was quick, made sure we had all the information (including business card) with phone number needed to return. House keeping was friendly and nearby if anything was needed. Check out was seamless and easy. When visiting Lido Beach, this resort will be our go to place for future stays at Lido Beach.
The hotel is very closed to the beach and restaurants
The installation need upgrades building is old
We had a very good time there the beach is amazing
Cucarachas everywhere
I loved
Easy access to beach, shuttle services. Building is very old, rooms smelled of mold and mildew. Bathroom water nobs very hard to open. Staff is wonderful, free parking, shuttle service. Beach access wonderful.
Liked the access to the beach and free chairs.
It was wonderful. Water in swimming pool clear and clean. The only thing not nice was a lower side in the bathroom wall at the side of toilet. It is loosing the paint and the cover out of the wall.
Very outdated. Needs an upgrade.
The beach was beautiful, the swimming pools were beautiful, the restaurant was very good. And the staff was super friendly and helpful.
This property should be demolished, too old , you feel you are in a cheaper motel, facing the beach but no worthy, I could stay just first night out of 3, i heard one room had a leaking roof when raining, could be good for you but definitely not for me. Staff super nice.
Great location and value. Beautiful beach and very friendly staff.
Hotelis clean, but old and very dated.
Horrible resort, it’s in very bad condition
