Very old and smells
From the moment we walked in to the hotel, there was a strong musty smell. I understand that there are ongoing renovations but the smell was just so pungent. It’s not a welcoming sign. I then went to check in and requested, if possible, 2 connecting rooms, as I was traveling with kids. The front desk lady proceeds to tell me that “she has just been there for 2 weeks and doesn’t know how to do that”. Puzzled, I ask her to at least tell me the room numbers to know if they are even close to each other. She says “hang on” and starts getting the keys ready without telling me the room numbers. I ask her again to tell me the room numbers, and she finally does, tells me they are “close enough” and that they are fully booked so that’s that. We went to our rooms, which were close to each other, and walk in to find another incredibly pungent smell of chlorine. I then realize that the smell is coming from the pool right outside, we have a balcony facing the indoor pool. After some time in the room, I realize the strong smell is making my head and throat hurt so I ask if we could change rooms to a non balcony one, as I had no idea having a balcony would come with this strong smell inside the room. I’m again told that they are fully booked and that I should have known about the smell since I have a balcony room. It was so condescending. I then told the front desk person that having a balcony facing a pool shouldn’t necessarily mean this incredibly strong smell inside the room. I ended up trying to sleep with a facemask and woke up with a headache. It was the most disappointing and awful stay I’ve had at a DoubleTree hotel. Definitely not the service or quality I’ve grown accustomed to expect from a DoubleTree hotel. I filed a complaint about the staff service and the awful experience inside my room and never heard back from anyone. AVOID THIS PLACE
The bed was extremely comfortable I wanted to take it home!
Not clear for where to enter for check in
The staff
Transaction issues
We liked adjoining rooms. 115-117 We were able to be closer with family.
Tiny rooms!! It would have been nice to know hotel was under construction. The entrance was a little confusing. As a mom, I moved the $3 water bottles in the room to the area near the coffee which was out of view of my kids so they wouldn’t be tempted to drink them. We brought our own water bottles. We did not drink the $3 waters, but I got charged for them. I was very careful about additional expenses and I got charged anyway. That was a bummer. Overall, the breakfast was a highlight. Excellent food and it was included in our price!
Construction was everywhere
The pool. Just wish it had longer hours. Atleast til 11.
The room was good, but we needed to have several things taken care of before we settled in.
Broken make up mirror s in each room and sheets where stained once I removed the comforter. Some of the floor in the bathroom was dirty. Carpet looked as if it was not vacuumed.
I thought there was a continental breakfast in the mornings but there wasn’t.
Helpful staff. Nice place.
Location a bit out of the way. Exercise room wasn't much. Price a bit steep.
Great pool and hot tub.
Pool was cold and there was a very dusty smell in the hallways. There also was a big stain in the shower.
Room was great.
Parking lot lights were not working. Totally dark. Unsafe condition.
Breakfast was decent. Not anything special but they had options and it fed us.
It wasn't bad at all just no pizzazz, no wow. Even the food my Mid.
Comfortable and clean. It was a nice area. Housekeeping showed up everyday with fresh towels and cleaned. Easy check in and out.
Room has a desk chair which was great but needs a regular chair for relaxing.
Goede bedden, kamer op zich goed
Vieze handdoeken, werkzaamheden buiten waardoor raam afgeplakt en werkmensen al vroeg voor raam stonden .
Geen koffie aanwezig, douchegel leeg
The layout of the pool and rooms.
The breakfast is not free and it’s overpriced.
Worst experience I have ever had dealing with a hotel. I'd rather sleep on the sidewalk.
Nothing
