Unique architectural design! Decent stay, 3 star.
Pros:

We liked the option of having a refrigerator in the room. Would have also liked a microwave. The walls seem to be very soundproof as we didn't hear anything from the rooms on either side of us. The room door was pretty good, as hallway conversations were muffled (our room was right across from the elevator). Nice view from the 14th floor.

Cons:

We realize this is an older hotel but the rooms need upgrading - needs new carpet, wallpaper, woodwork, edging, closet door didn't close properly. All furniture (desk, side tables) was scratched and the fluff from the side chair was coming out. Stale smoke smell in the hallways and therefore it seeps into the rooms. No hand towels were in the room upon check-in. When the hallway room doors closed, it was a loud slam. Only 2 of the 4 elevators were in operation. Appears 2 of the 4 elevator are permanently out of use.

Cons:

Room was musty and old smelling. Bed was old and looked very used and sagging. Sticky substance on the floor where my shoe was stuck to the floor.
