Great stay and perfect hotel for a chiefs game and going into Kansas City.
Pros:

We came all the way from Liverpool, UK to watch a Kansas City Chiefs game. The hotel was right across the way from arrowhead stadium, the sole purpose of our visit. We really enjoyed our stay. People staying there were really welcoming. We laughed because we kept tripping people up when they didn't expect an English accent. This became a great ice breaker which led to instant conversations. Lorraine who worked in the bar and front desk is a legend. She really made our stay feel even more relaxing. She was very welcoming, had time to chat and shown real interest in our day to day adventures while In Kansas City. She smiled, waved every time we came and went and even gave us a hug. She treated us like family.

Other staff members where also very welcoming and I can't say anything bad about our stay. Yes, there are some stuff to nitpick about but we wasn't expecting it to be a five star hotel experience in terms of gliz and glamour. It was perfect for our needs. The hotel is in the right place and getting to and from downtown Kansas city was just an Uber or Lyft away, which was rather cheap.

When we did have food in the bar, it was good. The bar staff made sure that they serviced your needs in a warm and friendly manner. I would 100% stay here again in a heart beat. There was not a moment where I felt unsafe.

The hotel changes around game day as Chiefs fans appear from all over the place to stay at this hotel. On days like these, it adds to the overall vibe and builds up the excitement of game day. This was my first visit to Kansas City and the hotel and hopefully not the last.

Pros:

I hate the $100 deposit they take upon arrival for "incidentals". Should NOT have to do that. Especially when I only stayed ONE night. They allege to refund asap. That's ab 5-8 days. 🙄
Night-time staff were rude & unwelcoming. Bedsheets were dirty so i slept on top with my own blanket. Carpets could use a deep clean. Weird smell in room I stayed in.
However, the morning staff- amazing; the breakfast crew- more amazing, friendly, & welcoming. Their breakfast is very good! Hot & fresh. Waffles, pancakes, eggs, potatoes, biscuits n gravy, cereal, fruit + more!

Most amazing breakfast!
Pros:

The young lady at check-in was not very nice at all, but the lovely morning person and the breakfast attendants made plenty up for her.
The room 308 was on the smaller side, but very clean; comfortable beds and bedding and awesome pillows; A/C worked well.
The hotel is right across the Chiefs and Royals stadiums. The lobby is beautiful, with paintings from a local artist. The sports bar was unfortunately closed on a Sunday and the only place to eat without getting back in the Taco Bell (which turned out well).
Now breakfast: the breakfast room is huge and it was the most amazing breakfast I have had in a hotel. Everything was fresh and delicious! Three kinds of fresh fruit ready to put on your fresh cottage cheese or waffles (plus apples and oranges); fresh scrambled eggs, biscuits, gravy, sausage patties, bacon, grits, French toast, bacon, hot maple syrup, and finally some room temperature butter and cream cheese (yeah! spreadable!), instant oatmeal, a nice selection of breads and more.

Pros:

This is a nice place to stay in the Kansas City area. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the breakfast has a huge variety of items. The coffee definitely could be better. The a/c in our room was noisy. Other than that, we very much enjoyed our stay.

We picked this hotel because there was a restaurant. Without our knowledge the restaurant was closed the day we arrived.

Pros:

This was the second time we've stayed here. It is wonderfully convenient to Arrowhead and the staff goes out of their way to make us comfortable. Driving into Kansas City or to Independence is easy and we don't feel we miss anything by not being downtown.

Great Location
Pros:

Easy access to Arrowhead and Kaufman, but rowdy and loud group congregated outside until early morning hours, keeping us awake. They filled the lobby and made us uncomfortable.

TV quit working while we were watching it, but maintenance came up right away to replace it.

Tried calling the front desk a couple.of times with no answer, was transferred to an off-site reservation site.

Needs some updates and TLC.
