Location as well as the staff
This was a lovely experience. I especially appreciated Emily’s courtesy. She let me check in at noon. The pool was very nice. The room, 832, was clean. The only thing that would be needed to change this from a 4 to a 5 would be if the hotel had better insulation. There are individual room HVAC units. I notice a cold area in the room close to the window and HVAC unit. It looked like they’d removed room thermostats and replaced HVAC units. I wonder if proper insulation wasn’t installed. I am a Michigander and wouldn’t normally notice a cold wall section. It was 20° F the night of my stay, and we’d had a couple weeks of temps below 0. I am pretty hardened to it. I had the room temp set at 69°, a the heat definitely functioned fine.
Friendly. Room was clean
All good
did not use.
DoubleTree contracts with hotels.com. I have never had a problem booking a room at any hotel through them. this time it seemed that they were feuding with each other. Emails confirmed my stay properly, but the hotel claimed I did not have a room reserved. I called Hotels.com. They confirmed that I did have a room. I called the hotel back and was told there are plenty of rooms but I did not have a reservation. I called the Hotels.com and they said that they would look into it and assured me that I will have a reservation. I travelled 150 miles to stay over night for an early AM flight. I better have a room. When I got to DoubleTree they said that I did not have a reservation. Oh, come on.
Room bathroom was too stuffy
Room needs to be more comfortable
the bed was to firm
Staff responded promptly to request to have room made up after having "Do not disturb" sign up when they were on our floor. Parking was plentiful and free.
No one offered wifi PW so didn't get to use. Main complaints: lack of full-length mirror, so it was impossible to know if I was dressed okay for a wedding, and dimness of lights. Had to turn on every single light to see adequately. Also, tv use was a bit confusing, had to keep signing in to my home cable company to get common channels, such as broadcast.
Was far from everything
The front desk people childish at its finest. I was charged twice I book3d through booking.com and when I got to the property front desk said they could not find me and made me wait supposedly because maybe the reservation did not go through yet, they're costumer s3rvice is AI I was never able to get a hold of a live agent. So I ended up paying at the hotel again and the person at front desk Alex said was going to leave some note for his manager to see so I would not be charged twice and that did not happened. So I been charged almost $400 for 1 night. I'm so missed right now
