There's a gentleman working at the counter the night we arrived. I think his name is Demetrius. Maybe I'm wrong but he was the most wonderful person ever so attended to our needs. Very knowledgeable! From the moment we walked in we were greeted by the kindest of humans, April and Trudy Ann. We are here for a hockey tournament and they went above and beyond to make sure we knew where everything was located. A staff makes or breaks an experience and because of them we will definitely be coming back.
Trudy Ann and April at the front desk have been so kind and helpful. This is the best service that we have had in a LONG TIME!
I would like to give a shout out to April at Holiday Inn West Knoxville, Tn. She works the front desk and she smiled at each and every one of my complicated friends as we checked in. She worked the telephone and guest check-in at the same time. Always so pleasant. Thank you, April.
It is a lovely facility. Our room was spacious and very nice. It was clean and no noise. The bathroom kept it from getting 5 stars. The shower head was not working properly. The caulking was not in good shape. The toilet paper was less that one ply, if that is possible.

Clean, bathroom was stocked very well with toiletries, we checked in for a tournament in town and even with the long check in line the front desk was friendly and accommodating.
The pool floor had green water and the hot tub was green.
Hotel room was nice and the staff made it comfortable. They were all very polite and friendly.

A suggestion would be to add air fresheners on the first floor.
The first room we were put in smelled old and moldy, the shower floor had what looked liked a layer of dust and when we pulled the sheets back there were spots of uncleanliness. We asked to move rooms, the receptionist was very kind and immediately moved us. The second room wasn’t perfect but we did stay. It was late and we were tired from traveling. At first the door would not open. We had to go all the way back down to the lobby to let them know. Which turned out you had to push up first. (Just inconvenient to talk all the back down to desk to figure out) Shower looked about the same, dirty, you could tell it had not been cleaned properly. There were lines in it that made the years of use and dirt more prominent hairs and soap scum. We just did not use it. The sheets were at least clean. The remote to the tv was covered in something sticky. You could not control the air in the room yourself.
We had already asked to switch rooms, it was late and we were tired and didn’t complain anymore because we were just staying for like 8 hours but still not up to standard. Staff was nice
