Outdated, terrible mattress, pay extra for breakfast.
Pros:

This is not the holiday in I'm use to. We were in room 512 and could hear something (AC?) running all night. The mattress felt old (you could hear the springs) and if the person with you moved you woke up. Everything in the room and bathroom is outdated. Low toilet. Breakfast was an extra $20 (a decision you have to make at checkin). The 5th floor hallway reeks of cigarette smoke. If I hadn't been on the road for 12 hours I would've left.

Pros:

The breakfast bar was great!

Cons:

The facility needs some upgrades. The ceiling was popcorn ceiling and had very bad spots in it. The bathroom sink area was in bad shape, with marks and the wood was very badly chipped in several spots.

Pros:

I enjoyed everything about my stay. The staff were friendly and informative, the bed was comfortable, and I thoroughly relaxed in the hot tub and pool. The breakfast was convenient and plentiful as well. Holiday Inn is my preferred choice and I will definitely recommend as well as return when I’m in Knoxville.

Pros:

The hotel was quiet, but you can tell this is an older hotel. Still comfortable, just needs to be updated. The front desk lady was super nice. The bed was comfortable.

Rooms not well maintained
Pros:

On first glance the hotel looks nice. The Lobby is updated and clean. Breakfast was good and fresh. The room was dated and not well maintained. My TV remote did not work and the refrigerator hummed so loud at night we had to unplug it. Both door keys would only work about every 5th time so every time we needed to get in the room we were left standing in the hallway trying the key over and over until it finally registered. The shower head leaked so bad it would flood the bathroom floor if the shower door was left open even a tiny amount. The toilet handle would turn too far with every flush leaving the toilet running until you reset the handle. We found 3 random socks left in drawers from previous guests so I’m not sure how well these rooms are cleaned. My family stayed at this hotel with our team for a soccer tournament in Knoxville. Other families had the same complaints about the door key, shower and toilet in their rooms as well.

One night visit with friends
Pros:

Very updated and clean ,comfortable, and well staffed. We did not eat at the restaurant but it looked very nice. The The bathroom shower was excellent with plenty of pressure and volume.

Everyone should be like him demetric
Pros:

There's a gentleman working at the counter the night we arrived. I think his name is Demetrius. Maybe I'm wrong but he was the most wonderful person ever so attended to our needs. Very knowledgeable! Wow! He is so amazing. Just say and talk with him for about a half an hour and it was just good Thank him so much! For his service

Management is everything… thank you April & Trudy Ann
Pros:

From the moment we walked in we were greeted by the kindest of humans, April and Trudy Ann. We are here for a hockey tournament and they went above and beyond to make sure we knew where everything was located. A staff makes or breaks an experience and because of them we will definitely be coming back.

Amazing Customer Service
Pros:

I would like to give a shout out to April at Holiday Inn West Knoxville, Tn. She works the front desk and she smiled at each and every one of my complicated friends as we checked in. She worked the telephone and guest check-in at the same time. Always so pleasant. Thank you, April.

Very Nice.
Pros:

It is a lovely facility. Our room was spacious and very nice. It was clean and no noise. The bathroom kept it from getting 5 stars. The shower head was not working properly. The caulking was not in good shape. The toilet paper was less that one ply, if that is possible.

Wish I had breakfast and coffee

April at the front desk was great

Cons:

Coffee and breakfast did not open until 7am and my day begins earlier then that so I had to leave without anything to eat of a nice cup of coffee
