The room smelled a little funny
Ideal location, rooms were clean and comfortable.
Had to pay for the parking
The location
The bed is old and it's making a lot of noise.
It was downtown close to the river.
We had bums walking around parking lot asking for money. Same guy came into the hotel and stole a beer from the refrigerator.
Great location! Right in the city but still quiet. Easy to get to, right off the highway. The rooms are super nice and updated. The pool is huge.
We did wish the pool was warmer, it was super cold! And we traveled during a hot summer day. The room itself was a nice temp (verses when they’re super stuffy and hot) but the pool water was so cold!
breakfast
When my wife and I travel we generally stay at a Hampton Inn because of the service and overall condition of the room. We were very disappointed with our stay at this Hampton. To start the room was small. The side of the mattress was broken down to the point when I rolled to get out of bed it collapsed and I nearly fell to the floor. Because of the policy of not cleaning the room, I had to request additional towels and washclothes. The bathroom had no towel bars to hang towels and washclothes. The air conditioner was extreamly noisy when the compressor would turn on which I ask the desk to check our first night but was still the same the second nite. There was a thermostat on the wall for the unit but it was non-functional and had to be controlled from the unit itself.
Nice location ,
Very dirty carpets, room was not very clean
How close it was to everythinf
Staff was not very friendly and we had a lot of spiders in our room. Beds were not super comfy either.
Easy to get to off of the Highway and plenty of parking. Staff were really nice. Room was really nice and everything worked and was clean. Great location as you can walk to pretty much anywhere in the centre.
Nothing not to like really. Not the absolute best room I had on my tour but one of the best.
The view from the 8th floor that’s it.
I didn’t like the room bc it was too small, the ceiling was falling apart and stained. The furniture was old the only thing that seemed new was the tv. If I could’ve cancelled I would’ve. I paid way too much for a Hampton Inn to get very disappointed. This was by far the worst I’ve ever stayed in. I should’ve never paid that kind of money. Not only that to pay $19 dollars a day to park on the property is crazy when you’re renting a room there.
Hampton Inns are part of the Hilton brand. This particular chain is one of Hilton’s largest and most successful midscale hotel lines. They have more than 3,000 locations across over 40 countries worldwide. I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn in downtown Louisville, Kentucky, and, overall, had a good experience. The hotel’s location is convenient. It was also very easy to reach from the highway. It is right in the heart of downtown and within easy walking distance to many restaurants, attractions, and entertainment options like Churchill Downs. Please be careful if walking in the area. Being downtown, it was not the best area and there were several homeless people nearby as we walked to dinner. Also, the drivers are aggressive as I almost got run over as one driver decided to clearly run the red light. There was plenty of parking outside around the hotel. Check-in was quick and smooth, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable with all the standard hotel amenities (comfortable bed, good shower, and reliable Wi-Fi). While the decor is a bit dated, the room was well-maintained. Breakfast is included, which is always a nice perk. It opened a few minutes late on the morning I departed. I would recommend this location for its solid value and prime location. It is a comfortable, convenient choice in the heart of Louisville.
The staff were super friendly especially the custodian in the main lobby. Super comfy room with great shampoo, conditioner and lotion- not the cheap stuff. Towels were fluffy. Bed super cozy.
The only complaint I have is I wasn't able to get my butt out of bed in the morning to run as planned because the beds were too cozy! Great view. Super convenient location. Great breakfast.
Convenience of location
Room could have been a little bigger and breakfast left something to be desired/
