Thon Hotel Bristol, Bergen

Great hotel and location. All of Bergen is within walkable distance. Very nice buffet breakfast too! Highly recommend.

Nice spacious room, large bathroom with powerful shower. Had a smaii issue with noise from the restaurant above the room but not too big of a deal as I’m an early riser and my wife would sleep through a fire alarm!

Friendly staff, all were really helpful, they have a secure luggage room if you have a late flight, perfect!

As with all the Thon hotels we’ve stayed in the breakfast was outstanding and the chef (s) and restaurant staff were really nice!

We stayed at Thon Hotel Bristol in Bergen, and it was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The staff were genuinely warm, helpful, and welcoming — the kind of service that makes you feel looked after rather than just checked in. The room was comfortable, beautifully maintained, and quiet, with everything we needed after long days of exploring the city. The location was perfect too — central and convenient without feeling hectic.

We also stayed at a Thon Hotel in Tromsø (opposite Thon Hotel Polar), and once again, the experience was fantastic. Consistently great service, friendly staff, and well-appointed rooms made it a really comfortable base in such a special destination.

Across both hotels, what really stood out was the staff — professional, kind, and always willing to help — as well as the quality of the rooms and the overall atmosphere. You can tell Thon takes pride in doing things properly.

I can absolutely recommend Thon Hotels in Bergen and Tromsø and would not hesitate to stay with them again. A huge thank you to the teams at both hotels for making our trip even better.

Hotel Bristol was nice to stay at. Our room was well insulated so we weren't disturbed by noise from the streets outside. The breakfast buffèe was varied and inviting. The personell were service minded, nice, and made our stay very comfortable.

We stayed in suite 702. I loved the huge balcony with great views. The beds were comfortable and pillows fluffy. Lots of hot water and good pressure. So many thoughtful touches like a shoe horn and bathrobes. The breakfast in the morning (which was on the same floor 7 as our room) added so much value to the room cost. It was one of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had. So much variety and a great way to try new foods. The staff was friendly, attentive and kind. The hotel is centrally located. Perfect for the Christmas market as well as a super short walk to the light rail train to the airport. Shopping and restaurants surround you. We walked the city every day never needing transportation. Easy walk to the Bryggen and Fløibanen.

Great reception people and zone. Clean comfortable room with good size bathroom. Great as a base to go explore or to stay before heading off on tours.

Very central location, nice rooms, very good breakfast

Highly recommended, apart from one thing: the single beds are only 75cm wide, and to me this means they are really uncomfortable to sleep in. Otherways great hotel, wonderful breakfast, excellent location.
