Nothing liked honestly. From the moment I walked in and checked in. The front desk was completely unfriendly and was not helpful at all.
I paid for breakfast in my booking and asked him about it so not to be told there was no breakfast that coming morning.
Moving into the room , immediately met by a smell of mildew and wet. I’m guessing from the lack of air movement in the room and the apparent mold on the ceiling as well as the shower curtain.
The bed smelled awful to the point I couldn’t even sleep well at all I had to lather my nose with perfume.
Not much
Was given wrong room when we booked, was given another room that was covered in hair and stains on blankets and sheets, then given another room that there was black stuff coming out of the drain when the neighbor turned their shower on. We ended up leaving and going to another hotel at 10 pm
Location
If I could give NEGATIVE FIVE stars, I would. So much is wrong with this place. My husband and I came to Little Rock for our honeymoon and this place ruined it all, and that is NOT an exaggeration.
1. First. The older guy at the front desk is a complete jerk. (I never got his name, but he's the older white guy.) He is rude, dismissive, and talks down on people. I PAID for the "free breakfast", but he told me I didn't do so and refused to give me the vouchers for the breakfast I PAID FOR. I showed him where I paid for it on my reciept and he rolled his eyes at me. He reluctantly gave me the voucher.
2. Second. For a breakfast I paid for, we got ONE voucher for two people, which meant ONE plate of food for two people. The food is pathetic too. You have to stand at the bar and wait for the waiter, who is in the back laughing with his coworkers. When I had been waiting over 20 minutes, I asked the same grumpy old man at the front desk why nobody had come to help. So he went to get the waiter. Turns out the voucher ONLY gets you 2 eggs, a choice of meat, some bread, and potatoes. You can ONLY choose how your eggs are cooked and the meat; the rest you just get thrown some stuff.
3. Third. They charged my card TWICE for the payment. One charge for over $480 and one charge for 200-and-some-odd dollars. Neither of these prices reflected the price I paid and what is on my reciepts from booking . com (which is $393). Now I'm having to dispute charges with my bank. (Keep in mind, my reciepts from booking . com also show where I paid for the breakfast.)
4. Fourth. The AC will not cool below 70. Even if you set the thermostat to 65, which is the lowest it goes, it will NOT cool down at ALL. You're stuck sweating the entire time in the hotel when its FORTY degrees outside. And I mean it gets HOT in these rooms. Husband and I had to sleep without any blankets. Stepping outside was a relief to us after sleeping in the room here.
5. Fifth.
This hotel was clean and relatively quite.
The air conditioning did not work- the system would turn on for 10-15 min blow air through the one small vent in the room then completely turn off. Front desk was called to the room and came up but couldn’t help. My room was 72°F and humid when the thermostat was set to 65°F and it was 38°F outside- horrible night of sleep!
The beds and pillows were so comfortable. I slept later than I've slept in a very long time.
There isn't even a mini fridge in the rooms. That's surprising since this is a Marriott hotel. It was also disappoing as we hD drinks we would have preferred to be cold instead of room temperature. Closet space is almost none existent and open. I had a dress to hang and my husband had a uniform, it was tight.
Air conditioning was not working and we could not stay at the hotel. They refered us to a sister hotel for our planned 2 night stay.
It had a great location and was the cleanest and least expensive place for what I was needing.
Property had HVAC issues and instead of reaching out just canceled my booking. I understand not wanting to take in guests if you don’t have proper heating/cooling however canceling within a couple hours of the check-in without contacting is poor guest services
Everything was great, justed needed free breakfast.
Will definitely return
Everything was close.
When we got up to our room I set the temperature to 65 and left. When I got back later that evening the temperature didn’t move from 70. After turning it off and on, the room got hotter not cooler.
So after calling the main desk they sent someone up at 12am to fix the room because it just kept getting hotter
The man came in and said “oh yeah it’s broken”
Proceeds to try to fix it for 30 minutes.
After saying he fixed it and left, the room did cool down a little but was still warm.
The breaking point that was so disgusting, is finding ROACHES in the hotel room.
We immediately left and made this aware to the front desk person. He said that a manager would call me ( 5 days later ) there has been no call… no message…. No email….
I told him I have picture proof if he needed it, he said “oh no I believe you” and reassured me again that someone would contact me…..
N ice facility overall
Breakfast
It was cute but mole in the stairwell which you can smell in the building and hot
The smell of mole and stairwell, one elevator being broken, the other one being hot and the building being hot
The bed was comfortable
When I first got to the hotel, staff was on her personal cell phone talking to someone. I was charged $26 more than what I was quoted on booking.com instead of paying $119.60 I was charged $145.60. When we got to the room door there was a moldy smell from the carpet and puddles of water in front of the room door with a utility fan. The internet did not work the first 45 minutes we were there. Before checkout a housekeeping staff member opened my room door. If we didn't have the extra lock on the door she would have pushed the door all the way open.
Location of property is great! The server for breakfast has great hospitality.
The manager is rude and lacks customer service. The property doesn’t seem to be up to Marriott standards. The bar is not opened. They only serve breakfast. Also, the light on my tv would not go off. I was told they would come check, which they never did! There was also rust in the bath tub! They also had an event aka pool party that was a bit loud so I didn’t get to enjoy the pool! Would not recommend to any Marriott member I will not be back for the price I paid!
