This property was not cleaned
How clean it was
Trying to find the lobby and understanding which elevator to take
The location is great. The breakfast was great. The staff was friendly.
There was no parking. We had to pay high $ for street parking. Our room was a bit dirty and the carpet smelled.
Location and rooms
Bar not big enough for a full function
Great location, everything in DC is easily accessible
Rooms were a outdated, bathrooms need updating. Overhead lighting was harsh. Rust stains on bathroom floor
The drapes were torn and there was an old hole in the carpet. Some of the caulk work in the bathroom needs to be redone.
Great hotel, very clean and comfortable. Would recommend.
Location was perfect. Everything was within walking distance.
Nothing
We came in late after a cancelled flight. It was so loud in the lobby, we could barely hear the front desk clerk. Our beds were comfortable, but there hotel room had a lot of issues—I wish I had remembered to take pictures. The electrical socket in the bathroom was hanging out of the wall, for one…how that is not an immediate fire hazard, I do not know, and it was like that when we got there, so you would have thought they’d fix it before someone checked into the room. The bathroom counter had stains on it, and generally the room needed both cleaning and also upgrades—the bedside electrical socket didn’t work to charge a cell phone. The price we paid ($350 for one night of less than six hours) was absolutely not worth it at all.
The worst Hilton property in the immediate Crystal City/DCA area, as I have stayed at all (Hilton, Hampton Inn, HGI, Embassy Suites). From the minute I walked into my room, I regretted booking this hotel. See my pics; torn curtains, stained upholstered chair, peeling wallpaper, stains on wallpaper, and more. Disgusting. The bed was clean and comfortable, which is why I gave 2 stars. Note the dining is very overpriced - breakfast was buffet only at $32, and the cafe to go averaged $20 for a breakfast sandwich. Slow service and prices are not available for snacks and beverages until you go up to pay. If you want to stay at a Hilton property, recommend HGI or Hilton close by. Will never stay here again.
Doubletree has a great location if you need to be in crystal city. Very convenient to DC and many monuments. Parking is underground deck but the spaces are tight and $51/daily. The bar area service is a bit slow and on the high side. 2 Old Fashions were $56. Most days they offered a small buffet, salad, protein, starch and dessert $24 including tip. This was a good alternative vs. daily Uber or delivery of fast food. The banquet food was subpar. See thee pictures of the fluffy green cod and thin fish with orange color sauce. It was way overcooked and not the salmon as ordered. But the food was beautifully presented.
Rooms were clean and fresh. They provided daily refresh services; great job.
uniquement l’emplacement
