Run down hotel in need for a thorough clean-up

Cracker Barrel across the street

Cons:

We usually stick to chains to avoid surprises. This time did not work as planned. I never thought I would write a review telling about bugs in the room, but here I am. There were dead bugs lined up below the window, plus one still alive and kicking on top of the air conditioner welcoming us.
This hotel is kind of run down and in need for a serious renovation.
The dining area is definitely small for the number of rooms, so tables are squeezed and still there's a good change not to find a seat. Breakfast offer is forgettable.

Pros:

It was clean and bright. The young lady at the counter at our check in was very kind even as she was handing a couple of calls and several travelers waiting to check in. I think her name was Gabby. Ten stars to her.

Pros:

The lady working the desk was nice the manager was down right rude. There was a mix up with booking.com where I paid with a pay in four company and when I got there they said I needed to pay again. I explained i had paid and she could see the card on file but wanted my credit card. Not for incidentals but to pay again. She was very rude even the other lady told her she would handle it but she kept being rude. I called to try to make sure I wouldn't have to pay both. But here I am charged on both trying to get it fixed. Ugh

It was clean,ac worked well water was hot

Cons:

Pool wasn't available to use and that's one thing I look for when I book,if its listed it should be available,no coffee creamer was available in the morning,none on site,towels were well used and thin..but they were clean,room needs serious remodeling

Miserable
Pros:

Frankly one of the worst maintained hotels I’ve stayed at in recent years. The mattress, which I always check for bedbugs by lifting the corners of the cover sheet was substandard. Multiple stains, almost no support at all. The room air conditioning was off when I entered the room and there was a musty smell to the room. The bathroom looked like it had not been cleaned after the prior occupants had checked out. The toilet plumbing was terrible requiring you to hold the flushing handle down for the entire flushing cycle. Frankly the only redeeming quality was the fancy coffee machine and the breakfast service. I tend to have a bit of grace for hotels based on the cost per night. But, at over $130 per night I expect at least functional plumbing and a clean bed to sleep on. Not many other options in the immediate area and it appears as if the management recognizes this and puts little effort and attention to the state of the accommodations. I would avoid this location if you can.

The bed was horrific who was ts to sleep in a bed that sags in the middle. Your facility should be ashamed for charging for these accommodations.
