Great stay
I just wish they would advertise that they had ongoing construction at facility.overall satisfied with stay.
The outlet between the beds was malfunctioning and clicked every 3 seconds the entire night we had to put white noise on in order to go to sleep, when I texted the front desk their response was oh sorry to hear that.
The only mirror in the room was the bathroom
There was no access to tv hubs and the tv and cable seem to be from the early 2000s
Clean and efficient. No problems at all.
Nice Hotel with restaurant. Great location off I81
My stay at the Holiday Inn was disappointing overall. The only positive was that it was a convenient distance from my destination. Unfortunately, several issues made the experience less than satisfactory. The outlets in the room were very loose, making them difficult to use consistently. The hot tub was out of order with no signage or prior notice to guests, which was frustrating. Additionally, breakfast was very underwhelming. We were charged $15 per person for the same basic items that are typically included in a free continental buffet, and the food quality was not great.
For the price, I expected better upkeep, clearer communication, and more value for the amenities advertised.
The stay was short but it was food experience and quite overall
It was nice, but the breakfast was free and it was that good either and I found a stink bug in my room. Also I was really looking forward to the hot tub and it was broken, the whole time I was there.
.
We knew the hotel was under construction before we arrived and honestly, it wasn’t too bad. Our room was really clean and comfortable, the staff was amazing and it was conveniently located to Hershey Park. All in all, a great experience and would definitely stay here again
Nice restaurant. Very nice bar and bartender. Close to Hershey
No hot water ! Carpet was very dirty in the Halss
The room was comfortable and clean. The hotel was very big and had a saloon and restaurant, however the restaurant was not open so we had to eat in the saloon which was ok. The outside area had no benches or tables to just sit and relax.
Staff was extreemly helpful and let us check in early.
This hotel is a complete dump!
Wallpaper coming off the walls, very dirty and mold everywhere.
Cracks in the walls, curtains coming off of the hooks in our room, musty smell and our TV doesn’t even work.
I thought staying at a Holiday Inn would at least be a safe choice, but no. If we weren’t leaving for a concert in the area soon and were staying here for more than one night we would’ve cut our losses and booked another room elsewhere.
I generally avoid writing negative reviews, as I prefer to resolve matters directly with the company. However, my recent experience with IHG was concerning enough that I feel it is important to share.
During my stay, the air quality in the property was extremely poor, which resulted in my travel companion becoming ill. Guest health and safety should be a top priority in hospitality, and it was troubling to encounter conditions that jeopardized both.
Equally concerning has been the handling of my refund. Despite following the required procedures and being told that my refund would be processed, several weeks have passed with no resolution. Booking.com has confirmed that the property itself must release the funds, yet there has been no accountability or follow-through. At the time of this writing, it has been more than a month since my intended stay, and the matter remains unresolved.
What could have been an unfortunate but manageable situation has instead revealed deeper issues of guest care, accountability, and financial responsibility.
For these reasons, I cannot recommend this property or IHG at this time. Guests deserve better assurance of both safety and service, and until such matters are addressed, I would advise others to exercise caution when booking.
The hotel is in the process of construction in certain areas at least i hope
There is several water stained moldy areas throughout the hallways and public areas. Carpet pulling up wall needing painted just not nice at all. Breakfast was not great. Most food was overcooked. And very dry
Honestly really nice for a cheap price. The room was clean which is the only thing i was worried about.
Where to I start…. For one I only got this hotel because I stayed at it a few years ago and loved it. The jacuzzi and pool were the only thing I was looking forward to for this trip. However, the jacuzzi was broken, and the pool was more of a lime green, dirty color. I didn’t go in. Family’s would walk in and back out. The towels literally were like sandpaper and pulled my hair out when trying to dry my hair. When the maid came to take the dirty towels, they didn’t replace any towels and there was no toilet paper at all when we got back. We had to physically go to the front desk and ask for those items. I also went to the front desk to complain about the condition and the Jacuzzi and the pool being down. The manager stated that it was on the website that they were under construction, and the Jacuzzi and pool was not working, that I was incorrect. There is nothing on their website stating this fact. There was also a horrible sewage smell on the wing of the rooms mostly the ground level. I will never go to this hotel again. If I knew that this hotel was going to be like this, I would have chosen a cheaper hotel and gone somewhere that had a pool that was working. I paid almost $200 for a hotel each night for 3 nights that I could of went else where that would be better. Oh, and the Internet sucked. I would not recommend until they get their act together.
Property needs updating. Shuttle driver was very friendly
We enjoyed our trip to the Holiday Inn Harrisburg - Hershey Area. We understand the Hotel is remodeling however we did have problems in our rooms the door stops were falling off the wall, and in room 417 the face piece of the sink fell off and needs major repair.
Hotel was in good shape minus some minor flaws like the toilet seat being a little broken and the temp knob on the fridge being broken. A little disappointed that the hot tub wasn't in service, but it was great to have an indoor and outdoor pool. Staff was great and friendly and hotel food options were nice. Definitely planning to stay here again for our next trip.
