Holiday Inn Harrisburg - Hershey Area, I-81 by IHG

Was a wonderful room with everything we needed on hand. Staff helpful and friendly. I was disappointed complimentary breakfast not included. Winners Circle Saloon restaurant had excellent delicious food. My compliments to the chef.

Easy access from I-81. Nice facilities.

Our stay wa ok. Newly renovated room had a air/heat unit that leaked a lot of air. Made for a chilly stay. Cloudy window to look out of. I had requested a specific room when I made the reservation but apparently that wasn't received.

The hotel is under a major renovation at this time. However, we had a BRAND NEW room. It was so beautiful and comfortable. A real plus is having the bar/restaurant on the premises.

The front desk was great very quick check in and the room was nice and clean. Hotel looked good. The walkways was clean and showed that the workers cared about hotel.

I stayed here for a drill weekend with the Air Force, and unfortunately my experience wasn’t great. As soon as I walked into the room, there was a very strong foul smell that hit me immediately. Nothing in the room looked off, but the odor was hard to ignore.

There was also no toothpaste available, not in the bathroom and not even in the small shop area in the main lobby, which was inconvenient after a long day. A very small mouth wash totaled to $3....... When I turned on the shower, the hot water caused the pipes to make a loud, struggling noise like it was having trouble producing hot water.

Lastly, housekeeping threw out my shower cap that I had placed in a grocery bag to take home, which was frustrating since it wasn’t trash.

The location was fine but besides a gas station there's not much in walkable distance. No loud noises that disturbed my stay wa shepard which is nice and the hotel staff was very friendly. Overall the experience disappointingly didn’t meet expectations.

The Keurig coffee maker in my room had to be swapped out because it would not latch. I also noticed that the door was not closing all of the way on its own. Neither of those is a really big deal. The staff was nice and swapped out the coffee maker and I had plenty of towels and everything else.

Was bummed hot tub not working no roll away beds also think 2 washers is not enough for a hotel that big, but we enjoyed the space, the pool, the breakfast the saloon also staff was amazing

Fairly clean, staff was very nice and helpful, was disappointed in the breakfast options, thought it was expensive for the selections offered. Location worked out fine for our purposes and the rooms were well cared for, except there was something dirty on our ceiling in room 345, it was disgusting, but we did not have time to call about it and the first night we were there there was someone smoking pot near our room, I was up all night and sick afterwards.

I just wish they would advertise that they had ongoing construction at facility.overall satisfied with stay.

The outlet between the beds was malfunctioning and clicked every 3 seconds the entire night we had to put white noise on in order to go to sleep, when I texted the front desk their response was oh sorry to hear that.

The only mirror in the room was the bathroom


There was no access to tv hubs and the tv and cable seem to be from the early 2000s

My stay at the Holiday Inn was disappointing overall. The only positive was that it was a convenient distance from my destination. Unfortunately, several issues made the experience less than satisfactory. The outlets in the room were very loose, making them difficult to use consistently. The hot tub was out of order with no signage or prior notice to guests, which was frustrating. Additionally, breakfast was very underwhelming. We were charged $15 per person for the same basic items that are typically included in a free continental buffet, and the food quality was not great.

For the price, I expected better upkeep, clearer communication, and more value for the amenities advertised.

The stay was short but it was food experience and quite overall

It was nice, but the breakfast was free and it was that good either and I found a stink bug in my room. Also I was really looking forward to the hot tub and it was broken, the whole time I was there.

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Harrisburg I-81 Hershey from 9/19 to 9/21, and while my arrival experience with the front desk staff was positive, my stay quickly took a disappointing turn due to a serious safety issue in the room.

The morning after check-in, my son stepped toward the bathroom and injured his foot because the carpet did not properly cover the spiked carpet strips. The exposed tack strip punctured his foot, causing immediate pain and forcing us to bandage him up before his baseball game. Unfortunately, the next day his foot was swollen and sore from the injury, which greatly affected his ability to play.

I have stayed at many Holiday Inn locations across the U.S. while traveling for work and have always trusted the brand to provide a safe and comfortable environment. This experience, however, was both upsetting and unacceptable, as it resulted in an avoidable injury to my child.

I would like to bring this to your attention not only so that this issue can be addressed immediately to prevent future incidents.

We knew the hotel was under construction before we arrived and honestly, it wasn’t too bad. Our room was really clean and comfortable, the staff was amazing and it was conveniently located to Hershey Park. All in all, a great experience and would definitely stay here again
