Breakfast was good and the location is perfect for travel between chicago and northern suburbs
First impression, the front desk had a bad attitude upon check in, next the room was not clean it had left over food still in the fridge, the toilet/shower area was so small you had to squeeze in then close the door behind you, there was rust at the bottom of the shower which was unacceptable for the cost per night, house keeping did not clean the rooms, take trash out or deliver fresh towels. This was not a good experience from a brand I frequent and use to trust. Parking fees were not disclosed on reservation.
I think the employees were very kind and did their best to accommodate. They were able to get us into two rooms during our stay.
Our reservation was unable to be found and was very disorganized. On the first night we were in a room which did not meet up to what we had booked. The second night we were able to move rooms with the jetted tub like we had booked but we seen a bug crawling on the nightstand/floor that grossed us out.
Nothing. I wish I had read more reviews.
The fridge was broken, it was filled with water, debris on the side of the fridge, hair in the couch along with stains on it, refused to put our rooms near each other even though there were several prior requests. The entire system crashed at check in so they had to manually enter guests and escort them to rooms. The pantry items are almost $5.15 each for a can of soda, bag of skittles. The buffet was lacking variety and uncooked. The pictures on booking are not the actual room pictures.
We really liked staying here. The building is really nice, lots of parking space, big rooms.
From the ladies at the reception desk to the staff at the breakfast lounge, all of them were really nice and helpful.
We would definitely stay here again if we’re in the area.
A lot if weddings going which I didn’t expect. But I got a room away from the party area after a long flight.
This Hilton was adequate for a quick stay but I have stayed at many Hilton's and right away I was hit with a daily "parking fee" of $10 +.60 tax. For hotels that are in busy commercial areas or large cities, I understand the parking fee. It keeps unauthorized parking at bay. However, this Hilton is in the middle of nowhere. There is nothing around it that would cause non guests to park there. We had 3 cars in our family this trip so this was an issue. Then I had to watch 300+ wedding guests park for free. If you are going to charge for parking, charge everyone not just registered guest. In fact your registered guests should be getting a free pass. Just a suggestion.
Nice clean rooms! But……
1)- $50 per night “security deposit”
2)-$5 per night (plus taxes) parking fee
3)-$18 per person for breakfast! The same breakfast a Comfort Inn gives you for free
4)-Only 1 of 2 elevators in service even though the hotel was packed
Personally I feel it was one of two worst Hiltons I’ve stayed at, and both were in Illinois (I’ve stayed in Hiltons all over the country almost exclusively for the past 10 years) Besides the two previously mentioned Hiltons, every other Hilton I’ve stayed at were outstanding. Unfortunately I’ll find someplace else to stay at next time I’m in the area.
Cora was extremely helpful, very pleasant
The staff at breakfast were wonderful!! Very attentive and helpful!
Cora was outstanding from the beginning to the end of my stay. She made me feel like was right at home, providing excellent service and offered to further explain about my Hilton honors. I will definitely come back and stay all because of how I was treated! Need more like Cora!
Good experience staying here. FiveFriendly atmosphere
Checked in for hockey tournament. Have stayed here for the last couple of years. Love the bar/restaurant and outdoor space. Would recommend.
I entered the lobby, a weary traveler having flown in from Seattle. My eyes felt like sandpaper and my feet were heavy as lead. Molina greeted my at the desk with a smile and sympathetic eyes that said, "welcome home soldier." Scared that I would be judged I sheepishly asked for a late checkout. A few clicks on the keyboard with her delicate yet experienced fingers she quickly tried to put me at ease with a "Thank you for being a diamond member. Yes you can check out at 2. Let me set your keys up and put you in a better room. Don't forget your $15 a day credit that you can use in our restaurant" as she gestured in the direction I would need to go for nourishment. I was on guard. I've seen fake nice before but this was something different. I thought I'd press her further and asked "Can I put a different card on file for food and beverages?" "Certainly she smiled." I was feeling much better about my lot in life as a road warrior and thought it couldn't get much better than this when she hit me with gifts of water, chips and trail mix. Am I in a dream? No, I just have Molina at my side making my day wonderful. Thank you Molina.
