Definitely wouldn’t book again.
Pros:

The entrance of the lobby. Rooms look nice.

Cons:

The Queen beds are not Queen beds. They are Full beds and they are so small. Can’t sleep on those beds with your partner. We couldn’t even get an upgrade to a bigger room. One of the beds headboard was also broken. The maintenance guy said that he didn’t see that, but there were staples on the broken side of the bed. Definitely wouldn’t stay there again. The jacuzzi was so dirty. They didn’t clean it until the next day.

Could use some updating or at least a deep clean
Pros:

Perfect for our baseball team. People working there were friendly and accommodating to our big group in addition to having a wedding the same night

Correct your bookings
Pros:

The staff was very friendly and attentive

Cons:

I booked a room with a jetted tub and shower next to it. When I walked into my room it was not the room I had booked. I went to the desk to question why the room was different and were told the wrong picture is used for the booking and the suite that picture is from was booked. They offered me another room but still not what I had reserved.
The jetted tub was dirty. The room also had trash left from the last person there.

A Good Run
Pros:

Well, it's been a good run. We've stayed at this Hilton many time while visiting family in Northbrook. I've always considered it average to a little above average, but this trip was unfortunately our final stay here. Upon arrival, the sliding doors at the entrance were not operating. Ourselves and other guests were struggling to get luggage through the single door. It had apparently been out for some time. Next, at check-in, we were notified of a new $5.00/night parking fee. Not a large amount but why? It's a suburban hotel with a parking lot. Corporate greed is the only reason I can come up with. On our second day a knock on the door at 7:30 a.m. asking if we were ready to have our room cleaned. 7:30?? We asked them to return later, never did. Also for the first time the overall cleanliness was lacking...trash containers in the lobby overflowing, elevators not clean, outside the front entrance not cleaned, etc. It's a good location for us but there is an abundance of other options in the area. We'll give some of them a try.

I had a pleasant stay at the Hilton Chicago/Northbrook. The staff and service were excellent throughout my visit — everyone I interacted with was professional, helpful, and friendly. My room was very clean and well maintained, which I appreciated after long work days. Housekeeping did a great job during my stay, and the hotel felt well-kept overall.

NOT SAFE!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!

I stayed one night at the hotel after a company holiday party that was held in their banquet hall. Because our company had a party there, I received a great rate and thought it would be a good idea to stay so that I didn’t drink and drive, and spend some time with my boyfriend and relax.

Overnight, probably between 1-5 AM my catalytic converter was cut out of my vehicle. First red flag— they had signs on all the parking spots saying they are NOT responsible for lost or stolen items, so I specifically parked RIGHT in front of the main lobby doors. And it still did me no good, despite cameras and all, they didn’t catch them.

Do NOT be fooled by the fact that the address is in Northbrook, IL. Just because other areas are wealthy, this specific area is NOT safe. The police told me that they have a group of people doing this often in the area that they cannot catch them. Between fake license plates, and the last two times they tried arresting them, the criminals were shooting at them and trying to run them over, they can’t stop them. So if the police aren’t stopping them, who will?

My $99 hotel night turned into a $1500 hotel night. Do not risk staying at this hotel. On top of the financial stress, I am dealing with the emotional and mental stress of trying to get an auto shop to fix all the damage they did. Single parent of two kids, and this is NOT what I needed.

The hotel is WELL AWARE that this happens, the front desk lady even knew that “in the past they could check the cameras across the street” and I wish I had read other reviews that stated it had happened to them. They should be held accountable for not having a safe environment for their guests and not increase security at night. Not only that, but parking is NOT free — so whomever wrote that in the review was mistaken. They charge each car per night.

This hotel should be shut down.

So please listen, do yourself a favor, and do not stay here.

No hotel points because I used Booking.com. False advertisement of EV charging amenities as part as the hotel

Cons:

I chose it because it said it had ev charging . Staff had no clue how to use it and it’s not part of the hotel, it’s a third party! Also could not get my Hilton points because I used booking!!!!

Solid choice for an Overnight
Pros:

Hotel is slightly dated but in fair shape. Rooms are large, beds comfortable. Workout room is small but has good working equipment.

Restaurant/Bar has a good menu and selection of beers and bourbon.

The best part of the hotel is the smiling face of the staff at check in. Cora is always a pleasure to talk to & if you’ve had a bad day, she will make you forget about it. Her smile will make you happy!
