Pros:

The room was clean and appeared to have been recently updated. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming at both check-in and check-out, making the stay pleasant. We were only there for one night, but everything we needed was provided.

Cons:

The air conditioning unit was quite loud, which may bother light sleepers. We weren't at the hotel long enough to use the pool, so we can't comment on that facility.

Will never stay there again and don't recommend

As a frequent traveler, I've never had my picture taken as part of check in process. What is purpose of picture?

Also, A/C was turned off in the room when temperature outside was 100 degrees. That's just RUDE. It took until 4:00am to get room cool off. I had a 6:00am wake-up to get to a bike. I asked person at the desk and apparently that's procedures. RUDE is an understatement...this is Texas in July going into August.

As far as newly remodeled is possible painting the wall. Blanket on bed smelled of sweat. Gross

Clean, comfortable and updated room including a nice breakfast.
Pros:

We liked the updated room very clean and modern. This is a budget hotel but were very pleased with the clean and comfortable room. Breakfast was good and offered more than just a continental breakfast so that was great. We found the location perfect for our trip to visit friends in the area. Staff at the front desk was helpful and nice.

The bed was comfortable. Room was clean when we arrived and staff was polite.

Cons:

Space between the outside door at the bottom so room never cooled very well. We stayed for four nights and I had to ask to have the room cleaned on the third morning. Not good lighting and no towel rack in the sink area, not convenient.

Stayed twice, reconsidering future due to AC

They don’t leave AC running in the summer so it takes hours to cool off and that is not enjoyable
