Wonderful stay but not great evening dinner service

Superb reception team
Lovely room
Great swim
Excellent breakfast

Cons:

Walked into restaurant about 8.50pm and asked if they had a table for two.
He looked unsure but seated us in a not busy restaurant with lots of seats.
We were given menus and some iced water
It was then almost 30 mins until we finally managed to catch someone's eye to take our order. There was what seemed to be a manager and 2 staff working who managed to skillfully avoid even looking our way. We were SO close to just getting up and walking out.
Just after we managed to order another table arrived and were seated and served immediately.
The food was great as was the bottle of wine but the whole evening (our wedding anniversary) was a little spoiled by being ignored.
Just to add the waitress who looked after us as if we finished our food was lovely.

Good location for shopping
Pros:

Nice breakfast, clean room. Really friendly staff on check in. Easy check out. Room service food was lovely and tasty. Good location to shops

Pros:

Very helpful and friendly staff. Access to swimming pool. Comfortable communal areas such as the seating area on the first floor.

Cons:

Very spacious room but unfortunately room was very tired and in need of updating (mould on window frame, holes in curtains, heavy scratch marks on furniture).

Pros:

The room was good sized with air conditioning, lovely pool and food was delicious

Cons:

The bathroom wasn’t properly cleaned, there were no ‘do not disturb’ signs and the room service menu only applied during the day (I assume), when we tried to order food at night they were only taking orders off the bar bites menu but there wasn’t a menu like that in the room so it was a lot of guess work, thankfully the TAP staff were helpful and did not disappoint with the food! Aside from the lovely staff member we met on check out day, the staff on the desk during check in looked uninterested and were too busy talking to each other before noticing that we needed assistance, to which they couldn’t help and didn’t have any meaningful explanation for why things were missing from our room.

Relaxing & really enjoyable
Pros:

The reception, bar & restaurant was lovely, bright, spacious & clean.
The swimming pool was great included a sauna & spa which was fabulous.
Rooms were a good size & well equipped. Location is good, a short 5 minute walk from the train station & the square.
Staff were friendly, professional & polite

Only four lounges plus about 10 School room chairs around the pool
The opposite of luxurious
Steam room was not
I went into the sauna to try and warm up after the freezing pool.
I had wanted to read my book by the pool, but just felt Jarred and cold by the whole experience

Plus, no explanation about how to use the TV remote and simply could not watch anything I wanted to see for three days in the hotel which was very frustrating
