Overall it was a fine stop for one night. Not sure I’d go back again as think it wasn’t worth the extra we paid over a m
Pros:

Really good location, it had a pool and the breakfast was good. Staff were lovely and friendly and were very welcoming.

Every staff member we spoke to was amazingly polite and friendly, always got a hello when we walked past.

Cons:

Whilst the main communal areas are nice the rooms and the pool area seem very tired.

When we first used the shower lots of black gunk came up from the plug, it washed away but felt like there are perhaps maintenance issues there. The pool was nice but again old and worn out, for example all round the edge of the pool the guttering was green so hadn’t been properly washed for a while, there was only one hairdryer on the changing rooms and it looked very old. I saw a mum struggling with a baby as despite it being open to families there was no changing table so the baby had to be put on a towel on the floor. The showers in the pool area were not great. All very old and knackered and no attempt at nice soaps etc.

Tried to get the lift up to pur room in the evening and it got stuck and despite ringing the bell 4 times there was no response, luckily the loft seemed to fix itself and went back downstairs but concerning that no response to emergency bell. Also tried calling room service for food but just no answer. Ended up going out to get snacks.

I’m not sure if it’s just me but I always had the Crown Plaza as a higher end hotel, so was disappointed with the poor repair of the place.

Comfortable and convenient place to stay.
Pros:

Excellent modern city hotel with good facilities and service.

Cons:

On the particular morning that I was there the breakfast service was exceptionally busy which resulted in some delay. The same applied when booking in. I would expect the procedure for this to be available online before your arrival these days which would ease the pressure on the polite and helpful, but overloaded, reception staff.

I would certainly stay again.
Pros:

The hotel is well situated close to the City Centre with car parking and easy access to and from the motorway. Staff are friendly and helpful.Rooms were clean and comfortable. The restaurant and breakfast offers are good and the gym is well equipped.

Wonderful and Relaxing stay
Pros:

Breakfast, parking, staff, swimming pool and all were excellent not to mention the location.

Cons:

No concierge to help with bags, check-in staff at checkin time (After 3pm) not adequately staffed, que to check in a little longer than one would expect.

High quality stay which was amazing value
