Roaches, mold, and everything falling apart.
Pros:

The bed was comfortable and there was easy access to the beach

Cons:

There was mold and water leaks everywhere. Our room was dirty and in disrepair much like the rest of the property. The amenities listed on the website were mostly closed during our stay. Be careful in the pool, the tiles are falling off and will cut you. Many things in the room and around the property are broken or “out of order”

Cons:

Bed sheets were full of hair and stained with blood, which really upset me. The manager was supposed to get back to me and inform me that she was fixing the issue, but she never did. It’s been almost a month now.

Port Isabel restaurant has the best server Luz Manuel was very welcoming and served me right before closing time without hesitation. We need more people like her.

Setting the standard
Pros:

We had awesome service from Luz Manuel and her fellow co-workers, very friendly and informative. Our server offered information on the hotel and all its amenities. Will be staring here in the future. Great location , atmosphere and price point for our stay.

Perfect spot on the beach
Pros:

We stayed at the hotel beginning of May. The first room we had was 501 which was a double room with noisy air conditioning unit. We booked a king and someone left a note saying we asked for a double. We got the room changed They put us in 418.
It’s a great room! We ended up at the bar with Shannon who was an awesome bartender! She made our drinks just like we asked

Pros:

Old hotel pretty but not updated. Our room smelled so nice. Bed was comfortable

Cons:

Late arrival. only a restaurant and it was closed. There were no vending machines. I swear i booked a beach view could see a wall. We could not find the place, a local guy got us there. You knew the tub was very slippery. "Mat available" doesn't cut it at 4am and yeah I fell.

Our server Katherine was soooo amazing. She took our order, brought it to us, and made our drinks and they were sooooo g

Property was very clean, spacious and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

At the pool you couldn’t bring your own thermal cups for drinking. They want you to buy EVERYTHING even water from the bar to refresh yourself after being in the pool and out in the sun.

Worst Holiday Inn experience EVER!
Pros:

I liked the fact it had its own beach access, indoor bar, and restaurant.

Cons:

We had an ocean view room and the windows were dirty which took the view away. The ceiling in the room looked as if it was going to fall on us, and our bathtub was clogged. While sleeping I had a huge roach crawl up my arm and then at around 3 am fire alarms went off.

Margaret is the nicest friendliest person at the hotel
Pros:

Margaret is the nicest friendliest person at the hotel. Check in was nice three available people and a convention going on. But the best part were the people at the bar. Margaret was amazing fast and always gave us service with a smile. There was a lot of people, but she always had time to make sure you had whatever you needed. The next time you’re in South Padre stop by the bar and go visit Margaret. She will make you feel right at home.

I like that when there was a chance at redemption for things i complained about, effort was made instantly and changes were made.

Cons:

Upon arrival the sheets were damp and the lamps did not work. I received a text asking how my stay was going and let them know.
