Good
Breakfast seemed typical and was fine... kids seemed to enjoy the pool.
The hotel tried to charge me $126 on top of the payment I made to booking.com. The employee that was checking me in had to text message her manager to see if they could remove such charge. She could not explain why I was getting charged in the first place... after at least 15 minutes of waiting on her manager she said that they could not remove the charge and that I would have to contact booking.com... after calling booking.com and unfortunately only being able to work with "AI" I was told that it was the hotels responsibility to clear this additional charge up.. I felt like I was getting taken advantage of... I then went and spoke with the same employee, and she then stated oh my manager was able to take care of it. Then I had to pay the $25 deposit for I guess the insurance if I damaged anything. What seemed a bit weird is I had to be charged for 2 separate transactions instead of one amounting to $50 total... So now my card got charged twice instead of just once.
Every time I asked the service desk employee a question she would just reply "I don't know, or I am not sure, or you will have to ask someone when you check out... This did not help me have any confidence with her training or abilities to help with my charges/stay.
One of our bathtubs would not even drain and in the same room the door casing appeared to have been damaged/kicked in at some point and the door was difficult to open. The odor in the rooms was overpowering and my skin is still crawling from sleeping on the bed which terrifies me of having bed bugs or something causing this irritation. 2 of the four door keys would not even work which seems to me they were not even programmed. When we asked for towels for the pool, they could only find a total of 5 towels... We asked for 8. Just seemed to be an overall letdown for what "Ramada" hotels typically are. I get that the cost was low, but the hotel seems to be run down.
Location and the lobby area
The beds were fine. The shower was fine.
There were several things in the room that were below standards. The doorknob stuck and the door was very difficult to open, the drapes were ripped, one of the bed lights was held up with duct tape.
