we reserved 2 rooms. one room's lock was not working. screwdriver was used to open the door.
the bed was super uncomfortable. the bed would sink in the middle.
Location was excellent. room was nice
Pet policy was not clear at all. Was told after check in that the hotel was pet friendly but a $50 add on. Not disclosed at booking reservation. Subsequently told that hotel was pet friendly but that the pet could not be left unattended. We had no choice but to leave the pet unattended.

Mattress was very comfortable but the pillows were like sleeping on a concrete block
No breakfast which was listed when we reserved.
It was in a convenient location for Monticello. You can get most anywhere is southern Charlottesville in 15 minutes depending on traffic. Staff is very understanding.
The noise from route 64 at night made it a bit difficult to sleep. I would ask for a room that is farther away from the highway.
The property is very welcoming
The bed and pillows were comfy and the room was clean. I especially liked the availability of the shampoo/soap and how it was presented.
The reason I gave the mark the way I did was because: the toilet had a hard time flushing, the air conditioner wasn't working right, noise from the work area below our room in the morning, no creamers for the K-cups, and normally a continental breakfast is included with the stay.
Beds are comfortable., staff is amazing, very clean .
I liked everything
Keep your expectations low, and you'll be fine. The location is decent, but the facility is dated and tired. The pool looked icky, and when we opened our room door for the first time, it smelled like they'd cleaned the carpet with bong water. And the bathroom was dim and creepy because the one light source had bulbs out. We felt safe and all, but it was a pretty sad property overall.
The lobby was especially nice, and it smelled so good! The location was great—close to everything. I did have an issue with my first room, but Millie at the front desk was awesome! She changed my room without hesitation, and her customer service was exceptional. She was friendly, professional, and made sure the issue was taken care of right away. Good experience overall!
The first room I was assigned to had a strange smell, which was a little disappointing. The breakfast was $16, and I felt that it was a bit expensive for what was offered. I also think the hallway rugs on the 2nd and 3rd floors could use some updating. Overall, these are small improvements that could make the experience better.
Paying 16.00 for a buffet that was cold was terrible.
Great location. Clean comfortable room. There is a good pizza place and a starbucks in the next parking lot. A 1 minute walk.
