We stayed there to get
some rest prior to a long red eye flight. The hotel was lovely, comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The on property restaurant was very good and the 24 hr, on the hour and half hour, complimentary shuttle was so convenient. I would definitely stay again when I find myself in Seattle again.
There was nothing to complain about.
Close to airport
No room service from restaurant
Near airport
Bad communication
The shuttle
Friendly staff. The restaurant and bar were convenient and had good options.
A little noisy.
The location and the shuttle bus service
It was quite expensive.
Friendly staff, great food, great room. Easy access to the airport
AC unit extremely loud, sounded like a freight train.
The staff were very professional, approachable and accommodating: especially Jessica and Chris at the front desk, and Markesha and Unie in the restaurant.
N/A
Right by the airport - yet VERY comfortable.
The property is conveniently in the airport
Not very clean.
Lovely property close to the Terminal . Pleasant and helpful staff! Large and clean rooms . No complaints
Nothing
Even having slept in enough Marriott beds to become Marriott Lifetime Platinum 15 years ago; we had never stayed in an AC Hotel (or in this case a hotel in the process of rebranding as an AC). It seemed like an opportunity to give one a try. We ended up disappointed, or at least disappointed with this one.
Their rebranding to AC is still not done, although we were accommodated in a remodeled room. The updates seemed more veneer and lipstick. The cabinetry was cheap and screwed together. The mattress was memory foam. (I thought Marriott tried that 20 years ago and repented. It is good enough when new. But last time they didn't age well).
Breakfast in any form was not offered without paying full price. No real reason provided by the FDC, who tried, but seemed clearly uncomfortable trying to explain why they were different. (Not even what I read may be the AC-alterative discount allowance, let along the full Marriott Bonvoy brand standard for elites). I felt kind of sorry for them being out on the island by themselves trying to explain that away all day). The lobby is small, and the hospitality areas wedged in.
What the hotel does have going for them is being very walkable to and from the airport, and Seattle light rail. (From Terminal D follow the Seattle light rail signs till you are supposed to go up a level, but instead cross International Blvd. on Skybridge 6. Then go down to street level and about a half block to your left). The light rail would get you downtown, or the Museum of Flight without driving in the Seattle drizzle.
International Blvd. has become an aging hotel strip. Few if any review really well. The opportunity to differentiate and stand out is clearly there. So far this hotel isn't it.
