Location was great for us. Bed was very comfortable. We liked having a microwave and a separate sink to wash any dishes. It was very quiet because the windows are double glazed. Street parking was available and convenient.
We were very happy with our three day stay. The hairdryer worked ok but was a bit shabby.
Warm and friendly reception staff. Clean, modern room and comfortable bed.
I couldn’t turn on the stove due to someone leaving on the child lock. Instructions in the room would be helpful as I had to wait for someone to come and fix by switching off the mains power.
I was in a terrible situation where website Agoda booked wrong dates taking majority of my money not refunded for nearly 10 days, Quest Burwood allowed me to pay the deposit in cash so that I didn't have to wait for refund leaving me money to enjoy my stay. I also had my cat with me the check in was easy and the staff wonderful.
I the studio room the frying pan needed replacing and hotel was fully booked so couldn't provide an alternative.
No breakfast offered. Just a cup of tea possible (two tea bags we thought was a little light on).
No free to air TCV and five buttons were missing off the remote control in the room.
We arrived at a room with the air conditioning set to 18 degrees, now the warn welcome we were hoping for.
To be asked to pay $25 For car parking in our view was unreasonable for the location. So, we parked on the street in the rain.
I booked this room as a local hoping for some peace and quiet, but my experience was extremely disappointing. I only used the room for about an hour and left by 8:30 pm. Initially, there were kids screaming in the next room. Reception asked them to quiet down, which they did, but I could still clearly hear the entire conversation next door, cupboards closing, cutlery clinking, and the TV. After moving rooms, the neighbouring room’s TV was even louder - I could hear every word as if it was playing loudly inside my own room. This hotel has very poor soundproofing.
The staff responded by offering to move me, but no compensation was offered. The front desk receptionist explained she wasn’t authorised to provide compensation, which is disappointing given how disruptive the noise was and that I chose not to stay. The thin walls and poor soundproofing ruined my stay. I appreciate the staff’s efforts to help, but I hope the hotel can take this feedback seriously and improve noise control for future guests.
receptionist was very helpful and efficient. Beds were extremely comfortable; nice sized balcony.
being woken up at 1am by the emergency alarm - was a false alarm and apparently not the first time that week to happen. Also, there was a dirty bowl in the cupboard with food still stuck on it, and there was no body wash left in the container in the larger bedroom.
