Location was fantastic...walking distance to everything. Court yard pool..gorgeous!
small rooms for price
This was our first time staying at Mills House. The hotel is beautiful and is in a great location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to returning next year.
Beautiful Hotel.Great location. Perfect for families.
Room was great. View was great. Pool area, bar and food were great. A little disappointed in a couple of things....room cleaned and they only left one bath robe and did not replenish coffee bar stock and made a request of valet to retrieve something from my car and they offered to do it for me and would contact me when they got it. No contact, so I assumed they forgot, but when we checked out the item was not in our car. So lost a nice metal protein shake bottle. Other than that it was a great stay to participate in the 49th Cooper River bridge run.
We loved everything about the hotel and the staff
Wonderfully attentive customer service and a beautiful hotel! Will definitely stay here again.
Beautiful hotel with really nice amenities and great service. My only complaint was the noise level at night preventing us from getting good sleep. We were in a room that was adjoining and my guess is that is less sound proof and we had a noisy neighbor.
We loved the overall feel of The Mills House. Beautiful room, great linens, amazing location and overall ambience with the branding and decor. Some basic things that could be improved considering the price - the pool is not heated as advertised (a big reason my daughter and I chose this hotel as she was looking forward to swimming on her Spring Break).
The gym is not great (treadmills were covered in dust and the gym felt dirty and small compared to the size of the hotel - only 2 treadmills and 1 elliptical. Looked like it hadn’t been serviced by cleaning in months). No room service which was disappointing for $1,000 a night hotel, and all of the room doors slam loudly when they close which woke us up constantly at night. If you’re valeting, plan for at least 30 minutes minimum to get your car back (also disappointing for $59 a night plus tip). We dined at The Iron Rose one night which was average (very slow service and overpriced for what it was - we got a grilled cheese and a burger and were there for 2 hours in a half empty restaurant, $100 bill). With a few basic things tightened up, this hotel could be fantastic.
Loved the hotel accommodations. The staff was excellent and Daniel (bellman)was outstanding. He gave us several suggestions on where to eat and what plantations to visit. He was very cordial and was a pleasure to talk with.
Very unique stay, clean, comfortable, top notch friendly staff. We would stay again.
The place is beautiful in the perfect location. The staff was very friendly. Highly recommend this hotel
Always a lovely stay at The Mills House. Will definitely return asap. Great food, atmosphere and service.
We stayed for a couples weekend on a very sunny and warm March weekend. This hotel is very clean and has everything you need. Plus, it’s close to everything. The service was excellent. We had breakfast at the iron rose, and everything was amazing.
The ambience, the location, the staff, even the coffee shop and restaurant were perfection!
Nothing! It was perfect!
Stay at Mills House was fantastic from the moment of arrival through to the very end. The staff were attentive and helpful. The location was right in the heart of downtown, a reasonable walk to the sights and numerous dining options. The property was charming and well kept. The rooms were airy, comfortable, modern with a stylish flare and clean. A champagne social hour was happening when I arrived so I grabbed a glass to enjoy as I walked to my room. The outdoor space near the pool and bar were inviting and steps from our abode. I enjoyed the complimentary 10 am yoga on the rooftop, planted into the everyday life of charming Charleston, gazing above at the church steeples as I performed select poses. It was easy to slip into the day after grabbing a quick coffee and smoothie from the lobby cafe including the biggest, buttery-est croissant for $5 I've yet encountered. We easily checked our bags with the hotel so we could be free to explore a few more hours beyond check-out. Lovely stay, will be remembered fondly and desired again.
