Guests are required to show a valid government-issued ID card or passport upon check-in. Please note that on-site bicycles are only offered free of charge to lodging guests. (subject to availability.) In an effort to reduce the environmental footprint, the property strongly encourage guests to use reusable items. Please remember to bring your own toothbrush and other toiletries with you. Please note that there are 25 hotel rooms and 9 private villas at Brickyard Retreat at Mutianyu Great Wall. The hotel rooms are located in Beigou Village while villas are located in the villages of Beigou, Mutianyu and Tianxianyu. Please note that additional charges will be required if guests arrive earlier than 15:00 or later than 18:00.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.

Toplocatie om de klim op De Muur optimaal te beleven
Pros:

De locatie is helemaal te gek, aan de voeten van prachtige bergen met de Muur aan de rand van de berg, letterlijk zichtbaar vanuit ons bed. het is ook zo mooi ingericht en zo rustig terwijl je heel dichtbij een grote toeristische trekpleister bent. Het eten bij de restaurant is verrukkelijk, we hebben daar ontbijt, lunch en diner meegemaakt en alle drie maaltijden waren uitstekend. Het personeel is ook super vriendelijk en behulpzaam, heel fijn

Cons:

Twee details:
1. De hele badkamer loopt vol zodra je gaat douchen en dan sta je uren met je voeten in het water op dat heel zompige mat en het is gek om op geen enkele manier de WC te scheiden van de rest van de kamer, vonden we persoonlijk
2. We moesten erom lachten maar voor een volgende keer hoeft in de tuin niet de hele dag een radiozender uit Nashville te draaien. We houden heel veel van Country Music maar dat hoeft vna ons niet in hartje China! :-)

Wonderful stay by the Great Wall
Pros:

Very pleasant property! The staff was helpful. The room had a view ( albeit distant) of the wall. We had 3 meals at the property, all excellent. The shuttle to the wall is very practical.

A wonderful stay away from the city
Pros:

Brickyard is a retreat located in a more rural part of Beijing and it was a nice break from the hustle and bustle of city life. Since it is a retreat, do expect that there is no TV in the rooms. Overall, it was a comfortable stay though a bit on the pricier side. Nonetheless, the staff are all very friendly and the retreat also provides free transport to Mutianyu Great Wall.

Incredible retreat at the Great Wall
Pros:

This was hands down one of our favourite hotels we've ever stayed at. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly attentive and friendly, organisation was very smooth, facilities and breakfast were impeccable and the biggest point of all: the location is just insanely gorgeous. We could see the Great Wall from our room!!! :) As an added bonus, we were offered a free drop-off and pick-up service to the Mutianyu ticket counter, which was very helpful (as the location is quite rural, which is definitely part of the retreat's charm). We will NOT hesitate to come back whenever we are in the vicinity!
