A delicious Indian meal near the Baiyoke Hotel
Pros:

I am just finishing a delicious dinner at Papaji Restaurantin Bangkok. The restaurant is very close to the Baiyoke Hotel.
I had the cream soup, which was very good, and then, as a main course, I had the Mutton Sagwala. Delicious! They also serve beer and drinks for those who enjoy a libation with their meal.
The staff speaks English and is very responsive and professional.
I would highly recommend this restaurant based on the food and service. It is not fancy, but it is good.

Dusty and dirty
Pros:

The lobby was very smokey, the rooms were tiny, dirty, and dusty. Probably a certain demographic would find it a decent place but it did NOT work for us. My allergies were triggered big time by all the dust and smoke. There was only one dirty sheet barely covering the old dirty mattress. The floor was dirty, with a very dirty rug in front of the bathroom.
We paid for two nights but I had to move out first thing in the morning for my health. It took a LONG time to check out but they finally let us go. We didn't get any reimbursement for the 2nd night but had to go anyways.
They tried to find us another room but it was no better.
Definitely very different from any other place we have stayed at in Thailand!

Pros:

Please clean and maintain the condition of the room. The bedsheet is so dusty and the blanket got stain on it. The table even have a live spider with webs. Don’t know how long the room never been clean.
The location is very strategic, 2 mins walk to pratunam market, platinum fashion mall and etc.
Fyi this is an Indian owned restaurant & hotel.

Pros:

Not expecting to stay above a restaurant. As we walked in, it was loud and we immediately saw two cockroaches. Although the staff were friendly and accommodating, it was apparent that the rooms upstairs were not taken care of. Our room had a broken tv, broken toilet seat and a shower which did not have a constant pressure. There was no toilet paper nor other necessities. We were not comfortable staying there.
