quiet room with convenient location
Pros:

rooms are very quiet... Mine had noise protection over the window which means no view but a lot of quietness and darkness which I like. there is a restaurant downstairs and also many in the area. Bars are nearby but not too close to be noisy. You can walk to the beach from here... And if you want a supermarket there's a macro

Good value location
Pros:

The location is very good as you just outside the main area, while still only 600 m from the beach.
The area has a 711 and lots of restaurants and bars. It’s quiet as the bars aren’t too close and rooms of noise reduction… Which in my room consisted of the window being a blocked up with soundproofing. This sacrifices of view but enhances quietness and darkness which I like. There is a communal balcony which is useful to hang up any wet clothing from swimming. The restaurant downstairs is cheap and convenient. All service staff were very friendly.

Kata Beach OYO 328 Onion house
Pros:

Nice place not far from beach and their own restaurant of The Red Onion was highly rated for its Thai food. They also have western food, which was just great as well, having ordered in the room.

Pros:

If you need somewhere cheap and basic this place is fine. It is clean and has good air con. Only complaints are we had to wait half an hour to check in the room even though we got there after 3pm and check in states from 2pm and when room was cleaned no fresh towels were given and shampoo dispenser wasn't refilled when it ran out. But apart from that I would recommend this hotel for anyone on a budget.
