A perfect place at Katharagama with family and a place with a pool.
Pros:

The location is excellent, and the rooms are very family-friendly with two big beds, which made our stay comfortable. We arrived late at night, so we couldn’t spend as much time as we wished, but it was still a nice experience.

Cons:

We do wish the bathroom had been cleaner, and unfortunately, hot water was not available in our room.

It was a good stay and it was because of the pleasant and professional staff

I can't praise enough the staff of the hotel. They serve with a smile and professionalism.
Location was few meters from the temple grounds entrance.
Food portions were generous. The beds were large so two people can easily share a bed in comfort.

Cons:

Hotel really should get correct size bedsheets made. All the bedsheets were short. So our feet was on the bare mattress. I have never seen anything like it before. Their charges are higher than close by hotels so they sure can buy correct size sheets.
Bathroom layout could've been better. You have to use the hand basin from the side. You can't stand in front as commode is too close to the hand basin.
The fridge didn't work. Not only when you take the key card out of the slot any electrical appliance stops but the fridge never cooled after all night of being on. Which was frustrating.

Staff were lovely and they all went out of their way to help

Cons:

The room needs so much work, the bathroom tap was falling off, all the fittings were rusty. There was a bad odour from the drain. The bottom sheet only covered 3/4 of the bed. The breakfast was cold and made before our agreed time, and the breakfast sausage looked and tasted very old. The pool whilst it was very clean, had broken tiles. I feel sad for the staff who try so hard , someone needs to throw some money into this place!

It met all our expectations. Close to the temple. Clean, spacious and comfy rooms. 2 queen beds in each room. Tea/coffee making facilities. Hot water shower.

Pros:

The room was comfortable -see below for shortcomings
Breakfast was O.K.

Cons:

There was no facility for making tea/coffee. The fridge was empty. My wife (who was chief occupant along with my daughter and a friend) had to request a change of sheets. There were stray dogs on the premises. Not belonging to a Hotel chain, and the owner living in ? Colombo, there is the need for better management on site
