Location, decor, facilities, staff
Heating is either on or off due to age of property, lack of choice at the bar, parking spaces are limited.

No one was around when we got to the hotel for 20 mins stood waiting for staff then to get told come back in 15 minutes for check in didn’t even ask our names when we left our cases

Fantastic location, the room had everything and more than we expected, helpful polite staff, lovely decor , couldn’t of wished for more
Nothing
Great room
Occassional banging pipes in bathroom
perfect by the sea front
Quirky, interesting and old-fashioned in the lounge and reception but the rooms (and bathrooms) were modern, very well cleaned and tidy. Comfortable bed and pillows.
The room was quite warm and the radiator didn't have a working thermostat so we had to open the window (with a radiator underneath on full blast).
Traditional building and nice staff. A little tired, but nice easy location to stay
Being on the top florr when you have a dog and the room felt cramped.
The rooms were clean and lovely and warm, plenty of tea coffee etc and free toiletries
The location is perfect, just a short stroll to everything
On arrival we were told there was no parking spaces available even though I had sent confirmation twice and actually recieved a reply stating we were welcome to park our cars there, the young lady was not helpful and had little understanding has to the confusion, I did explain my sister was arriving later in the day and on arrival she was allocated a space without a problem
Mathew was very understanding and did his upmost to rectify the problem, which he did successfully
The following morning I was again told there was no parking spaces available even though my sister had been given her parking permit for her whole stay, when I explained to the young lady that Mathew had sorted out the problem we were issued a permit..... this could have been avoided especially when id actually had an email confirming that we were welcome to park our cars
A big thank you to Mathew for his understanding and the ability to rectify the problem, he had excellent customer service 👏 😀
The perfect location . We have stayed there before a few years ago. Its had a refurbishment. It looks wonderful
Nothing
Location and friendly staff
Tired furnishings
Lovely hotel...friendly staff
Lovely big room with a view of the park and the sea in the distance. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Only comment is that the decor is a bit tired, however for the price paid it more than exceeded our expectations with lots of toiletries, tea, coffee etc supplied.
Decor was a little tired and it would have been nice to have a reserved parking space as I did book a space over a week before arriving but it seems to be on a first come basis. Would definitely stop again though as excellent value for money.
Welcoming and comfortable. Good location to explore Harrogate and surrounding areas.
