Breakfast was excellent and all you could wish for. The staff were exceptional: Chadi, Elio, Ali and Dimitris by the pool, the concierge team, Julianna & Savvas and Valentin and Haifae at the Lobby Bar....you couldn't ask for a better team. Thank you everyone.

The room service team were lovely!! The girls at breakfast helped me settle in after i left reception crying my eyes out due to reception management total disrespect and lack of customer service. My entire stay was ruined by the awful mistreatment of the hotel. From the moment I arrived I was judged and treated like I was a problem. The managers are awful, absolutely incompetent and disrespectful. Not even a glass of water offered while i sat waiting for someone to investigate why our 30k had been accidently charged, and lost in their system and them still demanding further payment.!! AVOID AT ALL COST
Our experience at AMARA turned into an absolute nightmare following a serious payment issue involving a payment link that was sent directly to us by the hotel.
We followed the payment instructions provided to us and made payment through the link we had been sent. The funds were taken, yet we were subsequently told that the hotel had not received the money. We were left dealing with what appeared to be a compromised payment process/scam involving the link we had received, with a substantial amount of money taken and the matter having to be disputed and investigated.
Despite the fact that we had acted on payment instructions sent to us by the hotel, I was then refused access back into my hotel room until further payment was made.
My partner was not there at the time and I was left sitting in reception, extremely distressed, calling numerous family members trying to get help. I was told that if I could not make payment, I would have to be escorted to my room to retrieve my physical passport and hand it over to the hotel as security in case I “did a runner.”
I was absolutely mortified.
What shocked me most was the complete lack of compassion. I was visibly extremely upset, yet the overwhelming focus appeared to be getting more money from me. There seemed to be very little consideration for the fact that we had already attempted to pay using the payment method provided to us and were now potentially victims of a serious payment scam.
After an apology to late investigatio ultimately establishes responsibility for the missing funds, the way I was personally treated was appalling.
I have never felt so humiliated as a hotel guest. For an establishment presenting itself as a five-star luxury hotel, I expected discretion, professionalism, compassion and a genuine attempt to help resolve the situation.Luxury is not marble floors, beautiful surroundings or an expensive room.
