Friendly staff, hotel is old but clean, parking.
Neighborhood is sketchy to say the least, the McDo next door won't let you enter from the outside, that tells you enough.
The pool was nice. Breakfast was good.

The staff was nice
Location is not ideal, both overall and actually pulling in. Breakfast window is very short and not practical. Room AC was broken when it was in the 90s all day. We tried toughing it out but gave up at around 11 at night and asked for a new room. Rooms are clean but look very dated in person.
They have an airport shuttle, and the staff were exceptionally friendly
The place felt dismal, the smell of the cleaning products was excessive, and the location was pretty terrible.... definately not going for an evening walk or anything

Our experience started on a bad note when we arrived at 1:30 PM. The front desk clerk completely ignored me and, despite the hotel being entirely empty, tried to charge us a $35 "early check-in" fee. We chose to wait an hour, only for him to botch coding our room key cards when we returned.
When I reported these issues to the morning staff the next day, the manager/clerk was mostly indifferent. The staff here needs customer service training.
As for the amenities, the breakfast was a basic, high-carb spread, and there was no coffee available in the breakfast room—I was told to make it in the room. Furthermore, the area was not the best, with some homeless folks behind the building. We definitely will not be returning.
I love this hotel! I stay every chance I get when I’m in the area l. It’s close to everything , the rooms are spacious and clean and the staff is always very nice .
I don’t like that there are no microwaves in the rooms , at least the one I had and the shower door in my room kept sticking , making it hard to close or open .
I think this is the best place to stop in downtown Sac. Easy I5 access but quieter than the other hotels in the area. It's a little farther to walk to the river, but worth it for the added peace and quiet. Had a fun convo with the desk staff about cars.
I wish breakfast was open a little longer. I went out for a morning run and got back right as they were closing up.
Very spacious and comfortable room. Friendly staff and amenities were sufficient.
