A common area that is open during the day would improve the stay.
Pros:

The location is great right beside the train station and has many supermarkets close by. You can get to many of the main attractions within 25 minutes by foot.

The rooms had a fine size however there is a big difference in how nice the rooms are, how quiet they are and their size. I had to change rooms to a different room when I extended my stay. The 2nd room was the same type of room but was placed close to the laundry machine room. The room was much better designed so you felt that you had much more space. It was likewise much more quiet. The room also seemed to be better maintained.

The hotel and rooms seem to be quite old.

The receptionists are nice, but of course speak very limited English.

The price, all things considered, is fine.

Cons:

The hotel doesn't have a real lounge area so if you bring food back you will have to eat it inside your room. There is a restaurant area but it is closed for most of the day and you are not allowed to be there before or after they finish serving food. A common area is honestly needed and the problem would be solved by opening the restaurant area during the day.
I eat mostly out but some days when there are snowstorms I would rather just go to the supermarket or the McDonald's that is close by I would personally prefer not having to eat it inside my room.

Just like many other hotels you are not allowed to use their onsen and other facilities if you have tattoos. It is unfortunate that they don't make an exception for foreigners or if you only have smaller tattoos.

I already understood that it was a budget option but just solving the common area issue would significantly increase the score.

Linda habitación. Tienen snack y bebida de bienvenida lo cual estuvo muy bien
La ubicación es frente a la estación de tren y bus pero tal vez un poco alejada de la zona antigua y turística. Unos 10 minutos caminando

It’s a lovely place to stay, and while the rooms are a little small the staff make up for it with a friendly attitude. D
Pros:

The location is amazing, right across from the train station and next door to a McDonald’s (good for any late night snacking)
The staff were welcoming and friendly.
The breakfast was really good with lots of different options and the kitchen staff were extremely friendly and inviting.
The rooms are tidy and clean, with staff bringing fresh pyjamas and towels in the morning and leaving them neatly by the door.

Cons:

Something to be aware of is that the rooms are quite small, especially the bathroom. This isn’t a bad thing it’s just something that can be a little uncomfortable depending on your preference and situation
