Great stay
Staff were welcoming, helpful and efficient. Room is small but clean, comfortable and charming. Mine overlooked the railway tracks but was surprisingly not noisy enough to keep me awake. Live music also not too noisy on the top floor. Elevator goes to 1st floor only, then there is noone to help you haul your suitcase the rest of the way. Very quick walk to trains. Lots of coffee shops and casual dining nearby. If you want to be in Balham, then this is a decent option.
The staff were efficient in checking me in but also sent me a message to tell me that they've moved me to room 14 in response to my request for a quiet room. Room was on the third floor and after the long journey to the hotel as London had tube strikes, my dread became foundless as I managed to use the lift at the back of the pub. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, the AC working, towels fluffy and clean and the coffee from Nespresso machine strong. Thank you for a good night's rest.
Lovely accommodation and staff. The room was spacious quiet and had great facilities. We ate at the hotel which was excellent
We had a really lovely stay here for our wedding in London. The rooms were beautiful and clean and staff were friendly and helpful. My mother's room was closer to the rail tracks so hers was quite noisy at times but she used earplugs and was able to sleep. Rooms felt safe and bed was comfortable.
The bed and bathroom were amazing!
Great staff and discounted in food. Loved it. Aaron the manager was awesome!
Nothing unexpected. Just know it’s a Pub below and there is street noise. I brought a fan. Bedding comfortable. They do room cleaning daily. Very clean. We had an issue with sink not draining and they fixed it right away after we hung the “please service this room” tag. There is a very small fridge. Refillable water bottles. Small pod Nespresso. A tea kettle and variety of tea bags and milk and sugar packs. There is nice shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion. They do not have wash cloths “face cloths” and do not know what they are. There is a Sainsbury’s grocery store very close you can get anything you need. The food in the pub is excellent and you get a discount with room key. Close to train for Underground and International rail service. Overall very nice and I would definitely stay again!!
Love the vibe of this hotel. Staff, pub and club are trendy and fun. Comedy show was fun, but club was noisy on weekends until 2:00 am. Kind of a quirky place but like it overall.
Good location, decent food in the pub. 2 second walk to Balham station with direct trains to Victoria and Clapham as well as the tube.
Only downside was its a bit noisy on a weekend as they have a literal nightclub and pub below but wasn’t bad enough to not sleep.
Lovely old building. So convenient
The hotel is in a lovely location and has a lot of character, close by the tube. The room is excellent and comfy bed, lovely decor. Only let down and the manager on shift was at times, very unhelpful and I myself felt, quite rude. Apart from that, excellent place to stay
Always An amazing stay at the Bedford. Phenomenal pub.
4th stay here. Amazing
This hotel is over a very tired and noisy pub. Rooms were clean, well apportioned. Thankfully we didn’t spend a lot of time at the property as we were walking a charity marathon overnight but were forewarned about live music and there were ear plugs on the bedside table. £149 and no breakfast - very expensive - the property smells of beer, fried foods and bleach.
Amazing property, really nice manager and all the bar staff were so helpful- I asked for a special request to have the towels folded and she really outdid herself! The room was absolutely gorgeous and we loved every minute, the bar food downstairs was also fantastic. Nothing but positivity and really made our 3rd anniversary worth it <33
Tiny room, odd dated layout. Very noisy until the early hours from night club.
Stayed as we attended at function there. Expensive for what we paid, look for a nearby alternative if possibke
Nice bedroom with excellent bathroom. Only criticism would be that we would prefer a king size bed as the one in our room was only a double.
The noisiest hotel room I have ever stayed in. The sheets were not clean and the facilities on site where not great.
