Good unless you're expecting a heatwave!
Pros:

Very friendly and helpful staff, good location

Cons:

Room was super hot. Not their fault it was the middle of a heatwave, but good air conditioning in the corridor made just a fan in the room seem even more frustrating. Teeny tiny shower, I had to shower with the door open!

Clifton hotel with a heart
Pros:

Great location in the heart of Clifton. Forthcoming and most helpful staff. I enjoyed my stay there. Will come again :)

Cons:

As this is historic building, rooms have no AC which should be welcome at 32 degrees outside. However, I got two fans, so it was fine.

Pros:

L’agencement de la chambre avec un grand lit simple et un espace bureau canapé super bien fait et pensé, l’équipement de la chambre

Cons:

Pas de climatisation dans la chambre ( canicule de fin mai 2026 ) mais bon on est au royaume uni et situation exceptionnelle

A good hotel I have used many times before but slightly disappointed by certain aspects this time
Pros:

The room was very comfortable and it appeared to me that it had recently been refurbished. The cooked breakfast was excellent although there could have been more variety in the buffet part. The hotel was close to bus stops and not too far from Clifton Down railway station

Cons:

The stay was over the bank holiday weekends and it appeared to me that members of the staff were not sufficiently briefed as to the special arrangements. Clearly the management of the hotel is at fault here if the left hand does not know what the wright hand is doing! Two examples. I asked whether the breakfasts were served at 7 or 8 on the Monday, being a Bank Holiday. The receptionist didn't know and rang through to the restaurant and they didn't know either. On Sunday evening the bar was shut so the following day (MBH) I enquired whether it would be open and was assured it was open till 11. when I tired to get a drink at 9.45 I fund the bar had just shut. Somebody needs to get a grip on this.

Okay for a one night stopover
Pros:

Pleasant staff,nice check in and helpful

Cons:

Very small room,felt claustrophobic,tiny bathroom.Bed cover didn't look particularly clean.
Hot and could only open window and then a lot of noise from bar/club.

Good visit to Bristol
Pros:

Good location. Good breakfast. Good opportunity to have a beer at the end of the day.

Cons:

The room was very hot but the outside temperature was also unusual warm.

perfect hotel
Pros:

For price and location you won't find a better hotel in Bristol. Clifton, Park Street, Harbourside all walkable. Staff on reception and at breakfast were super helpful and polite. I had a single room, and I was surprised not to feel particularly claustrophobic even in the ensuite. They also include a fan which was lovely given the heat. Perfect hotel stay.

Cons:

Booking.com didn't seem to make it clear to me, but the difference between the "cosy room" and "single room" is the cosy room has a small double, rather than a single bed. this would have been nice to know as I probably would have booked a cosy room over a single room because of this. but not a significant issue by any means

Good hotel for the price in an excellent location for Clifton
Pros:

Very welcoming and good location. Mostly very clean and no major issues with room given the very reasonable price point

Cons:

Admittedly outside temperatures were record breaking, but there is no air conditioning.

Good location, lovely front desk staff, poor breakfast and hot rooms on the top floor.
Pros:

The location was good, and it was really handy being able to pay for a 24 hour parking space that was secure nearby. The front desk staff were lovely, and did their best to accommodate us.

Cons:

We were on the third floor and it was SO hot. We were offered a different room, but it was on the ground floor so much noisier. The bathroom is tiny, it's hard to wash your hair. Things were fine, but the breakfast was really disappointing. No gluten free options on the buffet other than yoghurt and the eggs with smashed avocado on toast on the first morning were inedible. The second morning I went for the full English and grey burnt scrambled eggs were gross, I don't know what was going on but the food was poor.
