Clifton Hotel

The hotel was very traditional and close to the suspension bridge which was very pretty! I had a few complaints about the shower temperature but they were responsive and immediately fixed the issue. Flo was especially lovely and communicative - and her adorable coworker Miau :D

Such a lovely hotel, I stayed with my partner while moving house and the rooms are well kept and the staff so welcoming. Particularly I remember Ella and Flo were so helpful when we checked in and Judith, Evie and Eve were really friendly when we stopped to chat about restaurant options! Speaking of, the bar downstairs is so convenient and has a great selection :) Would definitely recommend to anyone

I stay at The Clifton Hotel in Bristol a couple of times each month and it has become my go to place for a reason. The team is always incredibly friendly, kind and welcoming and the service consistently feels personal rather than transactional.

A special shout out to Flo who remembers me every time I arrive and always makes check in feel effortless. It is those small touches that make a big difference when you travel often.

The rooms are comfortable, the location is perfect for getting around the city and the atmosphere has a warm independent charm that sets it apart from larger hotels.

Overall, The Clifton delivers great value, great service and a genuinely welcoming experience. Highly recommended! JD

A group booking for 7 - all feedback was great! Beds very comfortable and lovely bedding! Best nights sleep for a long time! Staff friendly and helpful and rooms clean. Breakfast all very good.

My favourite Clifton Hotel, brilliant location, friendly staff (Ella really shone!), comfortable rooms, excellent value for money. My go-to hotel on my regular visits to Bristol, without any hesitation. Exterior paintwork needs attention (balcony railings in particular) but I suppose the cost of repair could result in much higher room rates!

I had such a wonderful stay! The staff were incredibly friendly and eager to help. Evie was fantastic, overseeing my visit with care and kindness. I especially loved the complimentary biscuits and tea—they made my experience even more special .

We had always wanted to return too Clifton and this hotel came up it was ideal as a base for us and although the rooms a bit faded we had a wonderful experience staff especially helpful secure parking around the corner brilliant basement bar and freshly cooked breakfast that kept us going all day Want Bristol and Clifton on a budget this is the place thank you

I recently stayed at The Clifton Hotel with a group of friends, celebrating a friend's birthday. The event had been months in the planning and Jasmin and Lara were fantastic, helping with arrangements and answering all of our questions over that period. On arrival, the reception staff were welcoming and friendly. My single room was very clean (thanks to Noah who had serviced the room) and well appointed, with a bathroom that looked to have been recently refurbished. The attached restaurant had a great atmosphere, with board games that kept us entertained and the food was lovely. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely warm welcome from Flo on reception and very easy to understand instructions on how to find the underground car park. The location is great for exploring Bristol especially the Clifton area. The added bonus was the lovely onsite bar for food and drinks so no need to move far in the evenings if you didn’t want to. The room is simple but clean - nothing fancy and a bit tired decor in places - and all the basics covered plus the extras of a fruit bowl and a mini fridge were a great touch. We could only find one single free plug point which made it a bit of a challenge when it came to charging phones - could do with having a plug point by the beside tables maybe. Good value and all in all a very enjoyable stay.

Excellent stay, very nice staff, very good price, great location, comfortable room, ideal for bus transport links. Would definitely stay again.

Our stay at The Clifton was superb in so many ways! Really friendly helpful staff from booking right through to arriving and during our stay. Our room was spotless and we loved the more personal touches including a hand written welcome card and a Bristol photo on the wall rather than just any old interior design feature…. Although the rooms are small they have everything you need including teas/ fridge and TV/wifi etc Brilliant for dogs and a fabulous location for whatever you’re doing while in Bristol. Although we didn’t eat in the restaurant downstairs we enjoyed a coffee there and once the again the staff were so friendly and the food looked wonderful! Very good value and we’re really looking forward to returning thank you!

The next time I come to Bristol I will make sure I can book in to this particular hotel room satisfactory reception area the same

Nice little room, ideal for a short stay. Comfy bed & well appointed bathroom.
Faces a busy road, so some traffic noise, but convenient for Clifton village area & buses into & out of city centre.

Lovely hotel, very clean room and comfortable bed. Location was perfect for us and Judith at the reception was exceptional -so welcoming and helpful to ensure we had the best stay at the hotel.

Tiny room, I couldnt shut the door, not acceptable at all.

hotel is well located, close to city centre but in a quiet area. reception staff were all friendly and very helpful.bed was comfy and although room was on the small side it had all the facilities i needed.cooffee & tea in rom good and should you require the mini bar it is not extortionately priced like other places.breakfast in the downstairs bar/restaurant,was good and catered well for vegetarians. have booked to stay there again on trip to Bristol in a few months time

Great hotel, with friendly staff. My single room was small, but comfortable and clean. I enjoyed my stay there. The location of the hotel was good. There was some noise from the bar nearby, but that didn't bother me that much.
