Cosy hotel in Clifton
Pros:

Really friendly staff, great location, cosy single room, tasty breakfast

Cons:

Very hot in July - a fan was provided but it was still uncomfortable at night. Room was missing soap and shampoo.

Délicieux petit déjeuner
Pros:

Bon petit déjeuner, il ne manque rien

Cons:

La chambre en dessous du Rez de chaussée : le bruit des chaises déplacées au dessus est particulièrement désagréable

Lovely :-)
Pros:

Excellent location
They gave me a card and a small gift as it was my birthday that really made me smile- thank you so much

Cons:

Pay £10 for parking but in that area it’s £10 for 4 hours so technically £10 for overnight is good.
It was boiling in the room but that cannot helped during this heatwave.

Pros:

Staff were great, breakfast good, location great

Cons:

The room was boiling hot and the fan didn't really help but I appreciate we were in a heatwave! Air con would be amazing if possible.

It was good for the price.
Pros:

It was the perfect location for the event I was attending. The hotel was very nice, easy to get to and I enjoyed the breakfast in the morning.

Cons:

I was in a room on the third floor and it was swelteringly hot. The fan provided was too noisy to have on during the night. No hand soap provided in the bathroom.

Lovely hotel, excellent position, helpful and friendly staff - what more could you want?
Pros:

I didn’t have the breakfast.
It was a very nice small room at the back of the hotel. The ‘welcome’ phonecall from them a week previously allowed me to ask for this. The room was exceptionally well supplied with facilities given its size. As I have some problems walking barefoot, I appreciated that the room was carpeted.

Cons:

Given the heatwave on at the time and the south facing aspect of the room, they could have done with some lightweight flimsy curtains for privacy and reducing the impact of the sun. Having to pull down the blind to get these meant living in darkness even in daytime, and I didn’t like this.

Stay was pleasant staff were good
Pros:

It’s was good

Cons:

I found the stairs steep but it is what it is. Work carried out on the building starting at 7am with scaffolding being put up, I accept it is currently hot but a bit of a shock.

Friendly comfortable hotel in a great location
Pros:

This was our second time staying and we came back for several reasons; because we love the location (it's easy to jump on a bus to or from the city centre/Temple Meads station), the gardens in front and behind the hotel are tranquil and lovely to read in, the staff here are very friendly and helpful, we enjoy the calmness of Clifton as a base to enjoy Bristol, and it's good value.

We were in a small double on the lower ground floor. It was relatively comfortable in the recent heatwave. We really enjoyed the view of the garden from the room and we found it quiet and peaceful.

We also really liked the small library area at reception and the calm breakfast room.

The proximity of the hotel to the incredible Clifton Suspension Bridge is a real benefit. We very much enjoyed being able to walk there in a few minutes to enjoy the sunset.

Cons:

Honestly not much to dislike but if we were being really picky there were some small maintenance issues including dust on top of the wardrobe (which we discovered when we tried to store our bags up there) and a loose floorboard which kept making a noise when we walked on it. We had a cafetiere in the room but the ground coffee container was empty so not much use to us. But honestly we still thought it was very good value.

Uncomfortable and very dissapointing.
Pros:

Beds were comforatable
Nice location

Cons:

Room was far too hot! WIndow and blinds open to sunnyside?
Only one desk fan which was inadequate. Told there were no more fans available.
Fridge did not work. no cold drinks or water. Food and fruit went off(cheese bought as present).
Our medicines ie Statins , blood pressure tablets and blood thinners were supposed to be at fridge temperature not room temperature, which was excessive!
Little sleep possible.
Told we couldn't use the bar for a cold drink as there was a wedding party in there.
Door lock did not close on the inside of the room.
Expressed all this to receptionist in morning and no follow up has come through from the Hotel.
