This is a lovely hotel. The staff are really friendly and helpful (in a genuine way). The breakfasts are great and the location is perfect. I also enjoy the character of the hotel - it feels both grand and yet homely.
The window was broken but this was attended to. So, no issue at all.
Everything
Idk
I was upgraded to an excellent room. Very comfortable bed, excellent sheets and towels. Fresh fruit and ground coffee available at no charge. Plus of course tea.
The location is brilliant with Clifton Village shops and restaurants all within a minutes walk.
Breakfast was also excellent with smoked salmon, advocado and toast. Plus buffet.
It was perfect.
The room was very clean. Staff were very helpful.
Breakfast was really good. All staff super friendly and helpful
The rooms are very small but there isn't much that can be done about this as the building is old
It was central
The room was high up and the stairs steep
Location and staff
Rowdy guests noisy on the stairs into the early hours
Great location. Next to bus stops and near the village pubs/cafes. Direct bus to Temple meads was ideal. Friendly staff
Downstairs room not particularly big or modern. But good enough for the £
The location was excellent. it would have been nice to have had a lounge space but seeing it was a conversion of a 18th century Clifton house space is limited and that is also part of its charm and they achieved much within their means. Arrive early if you want a car space
Food was excellent but small portions. It is difficult when ordering to have a true idea of quantity. Perhaps when asked if one has any allergies you might say small portions. but full marks they did respond. My cheese dish was very generous.
Hotel location was excellent. Breakfast room was a beautiful space. Initial receptionist was very friendly. Room layout was good. Nice bathroom.
There was a dirty glass next to the bedside table, so clearly hadn't been cleaned or hoovered there. Bread was mouldy at breakfast. People were allowed the parking space outside for a day event, meaning we couldn't park for oernight.
Nice location. Room was clean. Comfortable bed. Lots of towels.
Room small, the bathroom could have done with updating and the paintwork and sealant was tatty. The window was open when I arrived with the wind blowing through, making the room cold and uninviting. The kettle is on the small bedside table which felt unsafe. The fruit supplied was bruised and not necessary. The parking was expensive as I paid £10 for Monday Morning 9-11am and another £6 until I left in the afternoon. I was woken early by guests leaving next door with a barking dog. Perhaps guests with dogs should be accommodated on the lower floors?
The location was perfect. Just next to the bus stop to take you to town and in the heart of Clifton Village.
