Pros:

The staff were friendly and the location was great!

Cons:

The parking was limited and other patrons parked over multiple spaces which meant we had to park elsewhere. The room had stains on the walls and the TV was very dated.

Calm, comfortable hotel in a pretty location with easy access to the beautiful Clifton village
Pros:

Very comfortable beds and ground coffee in the room

Cons:

Room a little small and could have had some hand cream / shower cap.
No parking if you needed it.

Beautiful little Gem. The garden is beautiful.

The steps to the top are a bit of a killer, but in all fairness the hotel did say to message if we wanted/needed a lower room.

Pros:

Nettes Personal, tolle Lage in einem interessanten Viertel mit hübschen Restaurants.

Cons:

Preis / Leistung gibt Minuspunkte. Zimmer waren in den Dienstbotenquartieren unter dem Dach, schlecht gedämmt und dadurch ziemlich warm und muffig. Der Ventilator im Fenster schaffte es nicht das Zimmer zu kühlen. Ansonsten leidlich sauber, Frühstück included bedeutet lediglich Continental Breakfast, alles andere muss teuer dazugekauft werden. Parkplatz vor dem Hotel zu knapp bemessen, ein Anwohnerparkausweis kann gegen Aufpreis ausgeliehen werden.

A good location, 24hr reception and plenty of character. Steep stairs and rooms warm in the summer.
Pros:

This hotel is in a great location. It's the second time I have stayed here and it is good value for that part of Bristol.

Cons:

I was at the very top of the hotel. The stairs are hard going particularly with suitcases and mobility challenged guests should think carefully about this option. The main stairs stop and the top floor is reached by steeper 'attic syle' stairs. Also, it was so very hot. The weather was not the fault of the hotel but the top rooms are like ovens in hot weather and the old style sash swindow only opened a crack. The hotel did provide me with two fans which made a difference. Breakfast is operated by a separate catering company and the finishing time was early, compared to similar hotels.

Good location for walking to The Downs
Pros:

Location good for The Downs.
Reception chap really lovely, sweet cleaner who helped carry a case up & girl at breakfast very helpful

Cons:

Room 16 was boiling! Fridge didn't work. Although shower tray plug & basin plug areas were new, rest was a little tired and definitely not cleaned properly.
Toilet had to be cleaned before use. Blanket on bed stained and tired looking.
But bed was super comfortable

A very convenient place to stay in Bristol
Pros:

The hotel was very clean and the staff were excellent. It was in a good location and, for the price, the room was very well appointed. My only gripe was that the room was rather small which made moving around the room rather difficult. However, I could have chosen a larger room and that wouldn't have been a problem.
