The service at dinner and breakfst
Found it hard to find the hotel
We had a fantastic three-night stay at the Speyside Hotel with owners Mark and “chef” Lucy. From the moment we arrived, everything was excellent. Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The food was outstanding, the staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive, and the whisky bar was a real highlight with an excellent selection.
The hotel’s location was perfect for our golfing trip, being close to both Grantown-on-Spey and Boat of Garten golf courses. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return. Highly recommended!
An excellent overnight stay in a traditional Scottish hotel. Very clean and comfortable, excellent food and very friendly, hospitable staff. Will definitely be returning guests.
Food was excellent, both breakfast and dinner. Also there is a huge selection of whiskeys to sample. The service from the manager and the staff was good.
Nothing
Was one of the best stays of our trip in Scotland. First and foremost the reception we received By Marc was amazing very warm and welcoming. Even if i was not sure what that little gold pin was for HAHA... The room, was so comfy and nice, slept so well. Dining and breakfast by Chef Lucy was to die for. I actually loved the haggis that only Chef Lucy makes now, she set the standard high! Marc you have raised the bar on how hotel hospitality should be, you and your staff are amazing, it was a pleasure to stay with you. If we ever go back to Scotland we will make sure to visit and try some more Whiskey flights.
If you ever plan a trip to Montreal please feel free to look us up, you have our info on file it would be our pleasure to show you around.

Leuke bar, mooie ruime kamer, voldoende parking, zeer grote keuze whiskykaart, goed ontbijt. Laadpalen (betalend) ter beschikking.
We zaten op het tweede verdiep (met hond). Er is geen lift.
Picked hotel for location price and that it was dog friendly. It was so much more. Staff so friendly and welcoming from the call prior to arrival and throughout he stay. Many places say dog friendly then exclude your family member from many areas of the hotel. Here I and our 3 dogs were welcome in dining room too. This led to being able to relax and enjoy the hotel evening menu. All
Cooked fresh by co owner and chef Lucy. The standard was exceptional. Breakfast was top
Quality too. We had such a lovely time. Thank you.
Cómodo y el
Personal muy atento.
Great breakfast and dinner.
Cozy room with great views to Cromdales and Cairngorms
Had to beware of sloping ceilings in our room.
It was quiet
Lots of stairs to carry bags up. No help offered.
What a gem of a stay!
Mark not only introduced me to my favourite whisky but also gave great recommendations for hiking / train to Aviemore. The food made by Lucy was sooo good (scallops and steak pie)!
I had such a lovely evening in the bar / restaurant and slept very well. Was only there one night but would definitely go back!
I really liked the helpful and friendly staff. The restaurant within the hotel serves amazing food! The owner reached out to me about making reservations for dinner because they can get busy and he didnt want me to miss out. You dont find that at places anymore.
There really isn't anything I would change. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed. They made you feel like you were at home.
