Friendly staff.
Everything was broken (washer, pool, door, etc) and run down. Beds were super uncomfortable. Not enough silverware or dishes for 3 people. Room was not cleaned for 3 days despite requests, so ran out of towels, dishwasher detergent, etc.

My husband found the bed comforterable. I didn't sleep too well. Thought it was a little to firm.

The hallways smelt awful. I don't know what it was from but it smell like cigarettes and cigars. it wasn't a bad place but it wasn't worth half of what I paid for it
The property was well-kept and remained clean throughout the stay. The location is in a great spot- near the interstate and mall.
Stay was exactly what we needed! Clean, conveniently located and spacious.
Breakfast was good and the room was nice
Hot tub jets were broken and there was debris on the bottom of the tub. I booked here especially because of the hot tub.
It would be nice if you had a stationary bike in the workout room for those of us who can't tolerate tread mills and steppers

We stayed at the Marriot Residence Inn, Sioux Falls, SD for three nights, April 24 to 27, 2025. We arrived and checked in, the hotel check-in was good, the lady was very pleasant. But we did notice an odor, which we questioned. We said it smells like cat and dog in this building. She said yes, pets are allowed. WOW!!!! So, our room has had animals in it, she said no, you are on second floor, we try to keep the check-ins with animals on the first floor and out of the elevators and staircase. The odor as we walked down the hallway on first floor was atrocious as were all the other hallways in the building.
We then went to the room, 202, only to smell an odor and a dirty couch. She then offered us another room down the hall, only this was worse, we kept 202. To be able to sit on the couch we asked for extra sheets to cover it up before we could sit on it. The odor in the room was unacceptable but what could we do other than to go to another hotel. We turned on the tv’s, but they didn’t work. Reported to the front desk and someone was sent the next afternoon. We were told then, the tv’s don’t work in this room and the front desk lady should have known that. They offered another room, but we declined as we were unpacked and busy.
The room itself is roomy. Bed was uncomfortable, better put “worn out” and an odor. The pillows were like limp towels and had an odor as well as all the other bedding. We were told the rooms are sanitized after every stay, what about the rooms where animals were in? Hmm… sanitize a mattress, couch, carpets, etc. Sanitizing and cleaning does not remove an animal odor.
We returned home and all of our clothes, etc. had the animal odor. We are appalled that animals have precedence over humans.
The staff was pleasant and helpful. We will never again stay at this hotel and will not recommend it to anyone. Keep the animals out of hotels. And don’t even mention service dogs or emotional support animals, as there was not a service dog around. We witnessed a family carry out two animal carriers from their room. There are many people who are allergy sensitive, do not like to be around animals, and just don’t like sharing a room with an animal which was previously in the room.
In the end the hotel manager did comp one and a half nights. Thank you
The hotel was really clean and the staff was courteous and helpful. We will definitely stay there again!
Breakfast was delicious, extra items for the waffles abd oatmeal makes all the difference. We love the layout of the room.
We did not like that the pool and hot tub was out of order.
