Well located and clean old style Howard Johnson motel
Pros:

Excellent location and liked the old style Howard Johnson motel motif compared to look a-like modern hotels and overall was maintained well. . Desk personnel were helpful, friendly and courteous.

Cons:

The bathroom had toilet issues with the float mechanism repeatedly sticking so the tank would not refill properly for the next flush (we just repeatedly manipulated the float to get the tank to fill but it became tiresome having to lift the tank cover to manipulate (so a repair is in order for room 121)…and even when totally in the shut position the shower/tub water outlet drips steadily and also needs repair (? New gasket?).
The breakfast was minimal but given the price and minimal staffing was not a major detraction and thus only utilized the juice & coffee.

Pros:

Would not recommend unless you had no other options.Run down, not thoroughly cleaned. Family members got 2 rooms for one night and both rooms terrible.
Wyndham should be ashamed to put their name on this property.

the only nice thing about this place is the staff at the front desk. it is so outdated and not clean, I wouldn't even take a shower. thankfully it was only a one night stay to sleep, of which I slept on top of the bed and would not get under the blankets. the pictures on the website are nothing like what you're going to get. the head board, if you want to call it that, was peeling and disgusting, my shoes was sticking to the bathroom floor, there were sticky rings marks on the bedside table, and don't get me started on the smell of the place and noise that you hear from the other rooms. would not stay there again nor recommend.

My bed was the only one clean. TV worked well

Cleanliness was horrible. Hair or different sorts in the bathroom. In she shower, on the toilet, on the door, on the floor. Dried blood on sheets in one bed. Good amount of it too.

The gentleman at the front desk and the housekeeping staff were quick and efficient when we asked for extra stuff, or asked questions, especially prior to arriving. The only negative was the printer did not work when we checked out, which was ok because the receipt was emailed, but hurt us because I was going to print my wife's boarding passes, and it turned into a 45 minute ordeal to handle that elsewhere.
The room smelled fine when we checked in, but when it was time to go to bed, the room smelled badly (like cigarette smoke). I think there was smoke in the air conditioning unit, as it had not been running until we adjusted the temperature and turned the fan to on for white noise and air circulation. We had 4 in our party, and we had 3 towels until I asked for more. The sliding glass door lock was primitive (bar) but functional once we figured it out, but was unlocked when we arrived. ** Had we not opened it, we might have had the door unlocked the entire time we were there, so that is a concern. **
However, the pillows and beds were clean and quite comfortable.
The internet and TV worked well.
The pool was quite cold, but appeared clean and well maintained.
The parking lot and hallways were well-lit and felt safe. The door locks to the hallways were always functional.
In short, the room and facilities were clean and functional and sufficient for a nights stay, but I would not have wanted to stay for multiple days for a vacation.
