I love how close the hotel is to the beach but the inside of the hotel is run down my grand children called the hotel mu

We loved staying right on the beach!
Pros:

Such a wonderful location!! The staff were very friendly too. Parking was easy.

The curtain did not close, and there was a little dust in the vents, but overall it was clean and just what we needed.

Hotel is on the beach. Comfortable beds and pillows. Reasonably priced. The refrigerator wasn't working so they brought us a new one.

DIRTY - Wyndham should be embarrassed
Pros:

To start off the visit: The front desk clerk was not welcoming, it felt like I was checking into a prison. The property is old and very outdated, I get that but it is no excuse for not being clean. It had a weird smell (the clean clothes I took back home had to be washed from the smell) They have done some decent upgrades, it is obvious but it looks like they were done by a 1st time DIY'er in a hurry. The toilet tank was loose, the shower knob was loose, the tile was not aligned leaving sharp edges. And the cleanliness of the room was lacking. There was zero attention to detail: built up dust in corners and on base boards. I don't think the balcony ever gets cleaned. I had to scrape something off the table on the balcony and also the table inside the room. There was an opened tea bag on the coffee/tea bar/tray which I threw away so it wouldn't be left there again. There was no security measures, the exterior doors were left propped open all night, anybody could have walked in off the street and approached any of the rooms. There were several homeless in the area at night; one sitting by the front exterior door talking violently to himself. The WiFi worked well (also not secure though)

Literally the ONLY thing this hotel has going for it is the locaton.

We were traveling with a group and had 3 rooms next to each other for 2 nights. 2 of the rooms have not had much updatin
Pros:

Great location on the beach with views for a reasonable price.
Nice balcony area with seating and near plenty of great restaurants.
Staff was polite. Beach was not super crowded and it was a great place to spend the day.

Cons:

Room needs updates
Elevator almost at the end of its life
No breakfast or good coffee
Homeless people outside screaming

Location and price a plus
Pros:

Location! Right at Sunset Beach. You can sit on your balcony and watch the ocean. Rooms are big. The low cost for the location is great. Internet worked well.

Cons:

Hotel facility is very basic but the location made it worth it.
