Wonderful vibes, family and couple friendly. Lovely pool scene and great location. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.
Nothing.
The Garland is in a great location for visiting Universal Studios and the free bus to get there was really useful. It also wasn’t far by car to explore the other tourist attractions in LA. Our rooms were pleasant with comfortable beds and enough space. The bathrooms were fine. Staff were friendly and helpful. There was plenty of parking onsite. The property was well maintained and clean.
Parking is expensive at $50 per day, but considering Universal Studios, just up the road, charges $85 per day to park, I guess the fee is justified.
There was a party in one of the function rooms one evening, which made one of our rooms noisy, but it didn’t go on too late, and we understand that functions are an important part of making a hotel financially viable.
The food in the courtyard area was nice, but the service seemed confused to say the least. Our family were served in stages, with the last meals arriving after everyone else had finished eating. We had to ask several times for some of our drinks. We didn’t eat at the hotel in the evening after the first day as a result, which was a shame as the food tasted good!
Amazing pool, shuttle to universal studios
Expensive to park
Atmosphere was great. Felt like a holiday spot.
The freeway can be a bit loud, but still lovely to sit in the balcony (don’t hang your gym clothes out to dry there though)
Location perfect loved the old Hollywood feel but in a clean modern way gym and washing facilities kids loved the movie nights in the pool and chilled vibe
None flexibility on menu I have neurodivergent kids and the lack of flexibility was a problem tea really weak and when asked for 2 tea bags they wanted to charge extra $6 for 1 bag I just cancelled the tea.
Such a lovely stay. Attentive staff, trolley to Universal (or the metro just before Universal - good connections to Hollywood and Dodgers stadium). Room was clean and comfortable. The whole hotel has such a great atmosphere.
Die Lage ist super.
Schöne Restaurants
Netter kleiner Pool
The trolley <-> universal studio is awesome! Definitely recommend taking the trolley! The pool was good, also comes with a jacuzzi, super nice. Staff was really helpful.
Our room was on the first floor, but it felt like a semi-basement. The window directly faced a embankment right below the parking lot, making it feel as though the room was buried underneath it. Worse, people walking down from the parking lot could easily look straight into our room from a very close distance, offering virtually no privacy.
Beautiful! Cozy! Easy to get around
The beds were not very comfortable. The sheets need to be upgraded
Chambres, emplacement, navette Universal. Et ambiance top
Vraiment rien.
Everything!!
Nothing.
