Good location but hotel rooms definitely need an update.
Pros:

Great location and very helpful staff.
Good shower with lots of water pressure.
Valet parking was a bonus and reasonably priced.
Housekeeping did a very good job.

Cons:

We had no heat in the room and needed to use a space heater.
The furnishings are very dated and beat up looking.
No utensils at all in the kitchenette.

Great location, family friendly hotel.
Pros:

We stayed for a week.
Great location as very close to the waterfront, which is a must. It appeared to be very family friendly as some kids played hockey in the corridor during the week end, which was quite fun to watch!
Front desk friendly, although check in took a long time (our credit cards wouldn't be accepted... we tried 3 before questionning the possibility of malfunction of their machine... which was indeed the case.
The room for 3 people was large enough, quiet, the reading lamps by the double bed very useful. The kitchenette was basic but enough to make tea or coffee when needed.
There is a restaurant and bar attached to the hotel, which was very much appreciated on the night of our arrival.
The cleaning staff is adorable and hard working.

Cons:

The pillows! So big and hard that my neck had problems for the whole duration of our stay.
The apartment was for 3 people and it would have been nice if the kitchenette was equiped to cater for 3 guests. Small intentions that make a difference. We had to ask for an extra mug, and also for a kettle, which were kindly provided.
The sofa bed has a very thin matress, ok for kids, but not very comfortable for a young adult.
We found that it was a huge waste of energy to see our bathroom towels systematically changed every day. That isn't necessary. Many energy concious hotels ask their guests to put the towels on the floor to indicate they need changing.
