Love the spacious rooms and facilities
I preferred breakfast being non buffet
Is the roof terrace open any more ?
Excellent staff and customer service
Coffee pods, I drink a lot
The guy who checked us in had no idea what he was talking about regarding major details of our stay. He said we would have to pay an extra resort fee which would come out of our deposit (not true, we already paid it). He also said there would be free street parking on Saturdays (also not true)
Great location , friendly staff , would recommend to anyone staying in LA
Maria Theresa couldn’t have been nicer. She made this stay everything that it should have been. This is not the greatest area of Los Angeles and I felt very safe in this hotel thanks to her and all the others.. she was accommodating and kind. She deserves special acknowledgment.. also Amelia and housekeeping was so lovely
Highly recommend.Walking distance to everything.Cozy rooms. Nice bathrooms & showers . Friendly staff. Beautiful historic feel
Clean and staff very accommodating
Nothing. Didn't like the are.
Das Personal war sehr freundlich und gesprächig, man hat sich willkommen gefühlt.
Die Zimmer waren sehr alt und sehr klein. Außerdem war der Preis im Verhältnis zur Leistung deutlich zu hoch.
SERVICE : Overall 2/5
Part 1 of 2
Front desk 5/5
Staff at front desk mentioned the room was not ready, I said that was fine. I would sit at the waiting area, and to let me know when the room was ready. More than an hour passed and I wondered if I was being forgotten. LOL! I approached another staff, and told her I was still waiting for my room and to make sure I was not forgotten.
Staff checked and went.. oh we had the same name, I laughed and said oh yeah.. yay!! I told her I had a neighbor also bear the same name as us. I went back to the same seating area, and shortly Theresa came over and gave me the key card, said the room was ready.
Part 2 of 2
Housekeeping 0/5
The room was a corner King. It was very spacious, and had a number of windows. Honestly, the decor and furniture were not my taste, but it was fine. Many people would like them. My biggest problem was I found a ball of hair meshed up on the carpeted floor. The ball of hair was a mix of blond, brown and black (See pic!!) . It was rather disgusting, honestly unacceptable in any category of a hotel (oki, unless this is a motel, still..)
I was in town for my graduation (Fight On!!) and really did not want to start complaining about the hair on the carpet. Additionally, I really did not want any housekeeping but planned to get fresh set of towels and threw out any trash.
On the 2nd day, I went down to the front desk and told a staff (maybe Alex?) that if he could help me get the housekeeping to come to my room and swapped out new set of towels. Around 40 mins later, fthere was a knock on the door. I forgot if there was a doorbell. Anyway, I opened the door and told the staff at the door I needed fresh set of towels and to throw out the trash. She said she would get someone to come. More than 3 hours later, there was no sign of anyone coming. It was so frustrating! I gave up calling or trying to talk to anyone, so I went into my hilton honors app and use the chat function. I told the staff Alex that I needed fresh set of towels and needed the trash to be removed. Finally a staff from housekeeping came, and gave me 2 bath towels. I was thinking what about wash towels and hand towels? I gave up!! And nope, the staff possibly not know the trash needed to be removed. So I had trash from day 1 sitting there until I checked out.
In the spirit of honesty, the housekeeping team should improve their cleaning (basic) and fulfilling requests from guest (asking a set of fresh towels and throwing out trash = still basic) before asking for gratuity from guests.
ROOM 3/5
Due to the uncleaned room, I had to give the room a 3 out of 5. Even though the decor and furniture style were not my usual taste, I knew how it was before I booked it. The rating was improved for the spacious interior.
LOCATION & MISC. 5/5
Great location!! I walked to The Broad and had a wonderful time at the exhibit. Starbucks, Bottega Louie and Joey DTLA are all within 5 mins walk. Valet at the door was also very nice. I love that the front door was locked at all hours.
We traveled to LA from South Carolina for the national science olympiad tournament. This hotel was amazing! We were traveling with over two dozen kids and they have accommodated us again and again. They even got us grab and go breakfast to eat on the bus on the way to the airport the morning we had to leave. Everyone is super nice and helpful that works here. Could not be better. Absolute 5 stars!
We stayed here as the first part of our 10 day trip to LA and the reason we booked this hotel was because of its proximity to the crypto arena as we were watching the lakers.
The hotel was what you expect from your typical Hilton, swift check in, staff knowledgable and clean.
This hotel however is in need of an upgrade, the rooms are very small and could do with a refurbish. The bathroom was very outdated and small.
It was in a good location for what we needed, subways nearby, crypto arena and plenty of food outlets but I would not recommend staying for longer than 2 days.
Highly recommend . Large modern rooms . Centrally located
Beautiful hotel great location
From the moment we arrived to the minute we left, the hotel was superb!. Located in downtown LA, it's a perfect base to explore with a free bus service just up the road to the outlet malls (which were well worth the trip) to a short walk to 7th/Metro subway station to reach Universal and Santa Monica. The atmosphere in the hotel was calm and subdued with a great bar for relaxing in at the end of a busy exploring day. Rooms were exceptional with a huge bathroom, Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries, a big wardrobe and tea/coffee facilities with a mini fridge. The general areas of the hotel were spotless and gave a 20's oppulent vibe in the corridors. Reception and door staff were naturally friendly (not forced) and took interest in your plans without being overbearing or intrusive. The reception had a small shop with key essentials, soft drinks and snacks which was really handy. One of the best parts was the proximity to the Dalian bakery - one word - DIVINE. The perfect base for anyone exploring Los Angeles and the surrounding areas
